We are sitting on a keg of gunpowder in this country because the Sharia law directly contravenes many laws of the Nigerian constitution. Which do residents in these states adhere to? The Sharia law or the constitution of the country which is supposed to be the 'supreme law' that guarantees the protection of the fundamental human rights of Nigerians. Rights the Sharia law is contravening.
