Protest won't solve Fulani issue. Take the fight to them. They are coward. Make it eye for an eye. Attack all foolanis. None of them is innocent.

May the soul of these Irigwe matyrs rest in peace.
A lot of people don't still understand what's happening in Jos and it's environs. The many killings that have dominated the news recently is centred on the attacks by the fulanis against the Irigwe people of Bassa lga. The Irigwe people are a very hardworking, resilient and friendly people whose farming prowess is known by all. They also dominate the local indigenous artisan market of Jos. Though mainly from Bassa, a huge population of theirs are also found in Jos North. Bassa lga got some state government establishment not very long ago to create settlements that added it into the new Jos metropolis which today comprise of Jos North (city centre/CBD), Jos South (an old colonial developed area with lots of tin mining history), Jos East (a new addition as a result of saturation of Jos North in the eastern flank mostly occupied by the Izere people) and itself. The previous tribe that were fulani victims are the Beroms who are still being killed but the news is less reported. A lot of Berom communities have been overrun by fulani terrorists with the aid of members of the Nigerian terrorist army. Both the Beroms and the Rigwe are Christian groups. They need every support they can get from southerners and all lovers of freedom.
Some people erroneously think it is Gowon's people that are being attack. Well technically they are his people since they share the same state but in the real sense, Gowon's lga of origin in further South of Jos in a remote area called Pankshin. There are hardly fulani attacks here because it is not strategic to attack. A military man like Gowon should know this and speak up against the happenings in Jos but surprisingly he remains quiet. The question on the lips of a lot of people is 'When will Gowon speak'? A rtd General and former head of state whose state capital is under external attack but has refused to speak. When will he stand up to the challenge? Only time will tell.
May God protect the Beroms and Irigwes from the hands of the terrorists salivating for their lands. May God show his mercy to all the peaceful people of the state.

@ the bolded, you don't need any southern help. Call the same Generals and soldiers who killed the southerners during the war and still killing them to come help you.

Go and call Gowon in his backyard and stop writing epistles on the internet.

What is still don't understand is what are the travelers doing in that place. What is your business with Gada-biyu if you are going to ondo state from bauchi state? What happen to bauchi road? There are lots of question marks about their journey. It is like you want to go to kwara state from lagos but you are found in Asaba Delta state. When have Asaba become the road to kwara state?

There's nothing that can justify the killing of those travelers. But if the government had not been absolutely useless and the army callous, it would probably not have gotten to it. I'm sure those slaughtered Irigwe were also defenseless.
One thing I know is that both Christians and Muslims in Plateau and Kaduna are the closest thing to savages. That's why I'll never be impressed by anyone's religion in Nigeria.

I quite agree that both federal and state governments are mishandling the Fulani crises, whether farmer-herder or banditry.

What some people fail to understand here is that the fulanis, especially bandits, don't discriminate their victims. Everyday we hear about 40 or 50 people killed and kidnapped in Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna, Niger. These victims are majority muslims. So we're all victims of this unfortunate turn of events.

I don't support either side killing the other, but where government fails the people should be sensible. Only they can stop this nonsensical cycle of madness.

Why should I be forced to belong to this kind I country? Any southerner or middlebelter chanting one nigeria is either politically naive or has a selfish agenda.

All you have said is true.
But coming to Southern support,I find it difficult to put my mouth again because you still find northern Christians who believe Nnamdi Kanu is their problem.
I work in the north central and work with a lot of supposedly elite Northern Christians.
You find out a lot of them especially Nasarawa,Plateau and Tiv Christians are like the proverbial man who does not know where the rain started beating him and won't know when it stops.
Is not true sir.
The reason is kanu dont care if u are Christian or not. He only care about igbos, and see igbos as de only people to lead. Thats why south South is afraid, middle belt is afraid, south West also.
Moreover he doesn't even believe in Christian preacher except igbos

In as much as I will never support repraisal in any form, I must add that making it to look as if a particular religious was a target is not fair. Many of the locals were murdered in cold blood, no noise was made. The people retaliated, which is not right though. This is what you get when a people lose confidence in the government for the protection of their lives and property. Rather than blaming a particular religion for the dastardly act, the government should take the blame.

that was how a big pharmaceutical cum supermarket was burnt down in our area in the early 2000s. the boy and his cult group killed a vigilante and the community meted anger on their family members

Whatever they take now can never be theirs. They can't change the history, culture and land ownership, etc now. The Sun of righteousness shall arise with healings in His wings. Those people should look up to God in prayer and righteousness, then use their hands to fashion their destiny. Join hands with others in the middle belt and ask for your independence. That's God's will for every nation... not country, mark you.
