People must at least start somewhere sir. Your reasoning is paradoxically backward even though your are trying to create an impression of being 'progressive'!

It has nothing to do with black inferiority

1. To have a successful automotive industry you need lots of small scale manufacturers who would make the varied components that go into a car. That is rendered problematic by the disdain most Nigerians have for technical and vocational education as well as the fact that people prefer to set up businesses selling imported stuff

2. You need power to run 24 hours a day. But when Nigerians celebrate people who refuse to pay their bills and the government chips in by running policies of price controls that prevent power companies from making a profit, ( and anyone pointing that out is an oppressor apparently) you get poor power.

3. You also need a well.funcitioning education system. Here in Nigeria we don't pay the kind of taxes and the kind of fees that we need to adequately fund education so as a result our educational system does not work properly.
Thanks for educating that dude. 70% of Mercedes Benz parts are outsourced from outside Germany. Manufacturing isn't for unorganized society like ours. The only organised aspect of public life here is corruption.

The first automobile was produced 140+ years ago. Over a century later, a country of 207m (NPC) people is celebrating ASSEMBLY plants.
.
Celebrating mediocre project like airports, assembly plants, container jetty etc that does not solve the mass unemployment situation is very common in Nigeria, it shows their level of understanding of economic policies of our slowpoke leaders/administrators.

Common 24/7 electricity, good roads, industrial farming and improved maritime layout that will revolutionalise the country is nothing to write home about.
Pathetic!

How did u come to d conclusion that "most Nigerians have a disdain for technical and vocational education"?

What has taxes being paid or not being paid got to do with a well functioning education system in Nigeria?

The highest we contribute is raw material. We lack capacity to produce competitively. That's why FG has to block import before it empowers private people with forex to start producing any notable commodity. That's how Dangote and BUA rose.

If the black race is not caregul, she will become laboratory specimen in the future to come. This is not been derogatory. The earth is dying. The serious ones are looking for the possibility of inter-galactic species. And technology is advancing at a neck-breaking pace, yet we are faced with this 'mundanity'.

To those who doesn't know what is happening in the world, which is one of the tactics of the black leaders, to maintain an ignorant population, you might think this is progress. The continuous existence of humanity is premised solely on knowledge. Not the kind of knowledge that currently exists in Nigeria; where tailoring, frying puff puff etc. are the ultimate knowledge. Where engineering student would be a king if he could repair generators. Life has gone beyond procreation and physiological needs.
Ironically it's the citizens of these western countries innovating not the governments .

Heard Nigeria is the most liberal capitalist country in Africa for trade, so where did all the innovators go?, guess they're watching bbn , chasing everything in skirts up and down, arguing about socio cultural divides in the west lol.

Between, Nigeria doesn't even have to innovate yet, just capitalise on simple scalable ideas. How come we don't have a Zara , Primark copy in Nigeria. What about the likes of after pay that allows people to buy on credit, crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter etc .

Just scalable simple thing's would do for now, assembly lines ain't bad either as it doesn't prevent new business models.

Yep we might end up as a laboratory experiment.

Like u said, 70% of parts for Benz come from outside Germany which is import which d German govt didn't block. So d Nigerian govt doesn't need to block import. So if u say that "We lack capacity to produce competitively", shouldn't building capacity be d focus instead of blocking imports and rewarding political patrons who turn themselves to monopolies?

NORTHERN NIGERIA WHAT ARE YOUR GOVERNORS WAITING FOR?

VAT MONEY FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ?

GOVERNOR WIKE OF RIVERS STATE HAVE BURST YOUR BUBBLE AND PUNCH YOUR HEART!

The federal high court in Rivers state delivered a judgement that states should be in charge of their VAT leaving just little revenue for the federal government.

Although the matter might reach up to supreme court because of the desperation of the northerners it seems we are getting to the end of the tunnel for states that want to depend on other states for revenue.

GO AND GROW YOUR OWN STATE INTERNALLY GENERATED REVENUE ( IGR )

STOP WAITING FOR CRUDE OIL MONEY

STOP WAITING FOR VAT MONEY or FEDERAL ALLOCATION.

THOSE DESTROYING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN KANO, KADUNA STATE USING HISBAH CORP their future is now bleak if they do not work hard to internally develop their own revenue outside the federal allocation.

Agriculture has always been there for the lazy northern states to tap into.

KUDOs to the AKWA IBOM STATE GOVERNMENT and their private entrepreneur.
Great point
