This is the best time for anybody to grab a plot or two at Okuku because that is the next focus since there are no more land at Umuguma. Many have already bought and started developing while some are waiting for the road to be fixed. Immediately the road is done the value will definitely triple. If interested, I can be of help. BTW am from Okuku. You can reach me through my email, powerkev4@gmail.com or quote me.

Why are the Governors in the East building narrow roads?

Are there no plans for future development in case the amount of vehicle usage increases?

What is wrong with Mr Supreme and his supreme media Mongols?
How can you construct a road without base/slab in a place like Igbo land with much water retaining soil?
Nna, the only benefit of this road is that it will be constructed but next time you supreme people should consider quality.

What’s that building in the distance in the 3rd pic that looks like the Roman Coliseum?

Concord junction and house of assembly junction improvement works 80% completed, greenery and tree planting should be a priority now.

To me I prefer this junction improvement more than flyovers that people where suggesting, but I implore IMSG to reconstruct the two flyovers instead of demolition that people are routing for.

I heard mcc road has been abandoned.
If i come into town and that route isn't fixed, I'll call on the spirit of our ancestors...

Flyover is overrated.
What actually reduces traffic is accessibility to adjoining or alternative routes

urg. These are such horrible street designs. They're ridiculous and don't help anyone or improve anything. It's just something someone drew on paper without any real considerations for practicality. I fear what our cities will function like now that people are developing for photo-ops rather than logic. A badly built city is 10x worst than not having a city at all.

What's your suggestions?
You're yet to tell us about the massive investments by imolites into Imo state.

There's a lot of unnecessary childishness in this thread so I don't respond to ppl too often because idk if you're a real person of someone's 14th account coming to waste data. no offense.

but if you're really asking, a lot of those roads don't make sense. Just have a normal intersection. They follow an outdated idea that good traffic regulation is getting rid of stops. Plus it's built to look good from over head and on paper which is an idiotic design philosophy. perhaps the designers had no choice but if that's the case it's a sign of bad city planning. How can a 2 way intersection have 4 intersections?

I would hope the fill the blank space with (real) trees but idk.

I'm not a fan of comparing countries but this is a good example of a street done right

https://sustainableamsterdam.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/151111-img-3236-haarlemmerplein.jpg

If you want to use this road you can
1. walk
2. take a bik
3. take rail
4. drive

This will

1. take pressure off the road from car use so that you don't need to rebuild it every year
2. help businesses in the area because people on foot and bike can visit more
3. give people lifestyle options. We are creating what many cities are regretting creating and that's a city for drivers. Every city in the US except NYC is regretting making this mistake and are trying to reverse it. We who have a blank slate are jumping into the mistake because elaborate road structures make it look like 'the governor is working'. They're monuments to ego.
5. Safer. Car oriented cities lead to speeding and vehicles are among the #1 causes of death in any poorly designed city. A multi purpose street is statistically safer.

There are also things in the picture above that should be noticed.
1. no sand. All available land is covered. in the US they use grass more and in europe they use brick, but this will eliminate dust, dust storms, air pollution, and all of the hazards that come with dust to people and electronics. There are many Nigerian cities that you will walk through, come home, and your cloths are dirty. Image what it's doing to your lungs. So hopefully they cover that open space with trees, but idk. No governor gets praised for trees. Just road road road.

2. easier to clean and keep clean

imolites sees flyovers as big development but me i don't see it in that way, there are a lot of things we can do to improve our cities. The way we develop our cities is quite different from other Africans look at countries like kenya, Mauritius, Lesotho Rwanda and South African cities u will see that we're backward as a country our government just allow people to be building nonsense the only thing our leaders are after is the control of state money no city development policies, our cities looks 17th centuries. Govt build and sell to the masses that's how it's done in well organized countries
