President Muhammadu Buhari has recorded several achievements in the South East, to cause Igbos to vote the All Progressives Congress (APC) massively in 2023 elections.

Despite the fact that Igbos favoured the People's Democratic Party (PDP) over the APC in the 2015 and 2019 Presidential Elections, the President did not fail to deliver dividends of democracy to the South East.

Below are five achievements of President Buhari that will endear Igbos to the APC and cause them to vote the party in 2023.

1. Second Niger Bridge

Whenever this project is mentioned, many are quick to attribute it to Goodluck Jonathan; the fact is that it was awarded by PDP government but not funded.

The APC, through the administration of President Buhari has sustained funding of the second Niger bridge project to near completion.

According to available information, the bridge will be commissioned for use in 2022.

2. Road Construction

If you know the South East well, you will agree that the Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway is a very important road. Enugu, Okigwe, Umuahia, Aba and Port Harcourt are all major towns along the route.

The road was almost impassable, with potholes and edge cracks, until the APC administration came into power in 2015.

Today, the Enugu-Port Harcourt road is one of the best dual carriage ways in the country.

3. Akanu Ibiam International Airport

The Akanu Ibiam International Airport, also known as the Enugu Airport, was revamped and reopened in August 2020.

President Buhari released N10 billion for reconstruction of the runway and other associated works. The runway of the airport was dilapidated and posed safety threats.

If Apc is going to present a Southerner from igbo extraction then South East will massively vote for Apc but if the candidate is going to be from another region in the south then we will vote massively for Pdp irrespective of where their candidate comes from.

If Apc presents a southerner from igbo extraction then South easterners will massively vote for Apc,but if they present a candidate from other areas in the south then the easterners have no choice than to vote for our usual Pdp irrespective of their choice of candidate.
