BiafraInc:YES you use data to find out information if we don't have data then that's a problem |

Abohboy:Stop sounding stupid. You only need datta to find out the exact numbers of both, but not when you want to compare who are most in number. Bini migrants are few in Aboh when compare to Igbos who are the owners of the land. Don't tell me you need data to find out about that. |

BiafraInc:I did my research and I agree with you the Ndokwa people in Aboh are predominantly Igbo there are only a few Bini people within the kingdom |

Abohboy:are you kidding? the aros never took land belonging to the ohafia biko |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by Abohboy(op): 3:40pm On Aug 21, 2021 |
Devgru:They used the Ohafia to conquer other lands so I assumed they had to conquer the people in order to use them in wars or am I mistaken |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by Devgru: 4:11pm On Aug 21, 2021 |
Abohboy:they were allies in the in the aro conferedracy. nobody conquered the ohafia in war |

Admissionclass:When there are towns named "Akwukwu-Igbo" and "Igbo-Ụzọ" Don't allow these Bini people to use your brain for their own benefits. Open your eyes. That's how Ikwerre used and rubbished Ndigbo because of people like you |

| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by Abohboy(op): 4:51pm On Aug 21, 2021 |
onlyson16:smh there's no hope for unity is there. Simply reviving the trade route of the Niger River, rejuvenating towns and cities to become industrial trading hubs, opening up the river for fishing and uniting the south politically to challenge the north is now seen as some sort of evil |

| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by Abohboy(op): 7:46pm On Aug 21, 2021 |
AfricanColumbus:No problem it's my pleasure but it must be remembered that the Ijaw did own war canoes that were quite large just that they were not as well equipped or as powerful as those of other groups. |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by AfricanColumbus: 9:09pm On Aug 21, 2021 |
Abohboy:The existence of war canoes amongst Igbo groups without Ijaw influence is rarely mentioned. That would suggest there may be need for a crosscheck. Any chance this is related to the war canoes of southernmost Igboland? |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by Abohboy(op): 9:31pm On Aug 21, 2021 |
AfricanColumbus:Yes this is related to the southernmost groups like Ukwuani, Ndokwa, Anioma, Ndoni etc. But seems they improved on whatever the Ijaw showed them because they were able to take other the Niger River and control all trade up and down the stretch from the confluence and below |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by Fejoku: 10:23pm On Aug 21, 2021 |
Abohboy:There's no single Bini blood in Ndokwa. The recorded and traceable tribes with footprint in Ndokwa is Igala and Urhobo/Isoko. You will notice through some name similarities between Ndokwa and Igala. The Urhobo/Isoko influence is undeniable. Mind you the influence is both ways but you will hardly see these other groups highlighting the presence of Igbos in their ancestry. I wonder why some of you do so. |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by Abohboy(op): 8:45am On Aug 22, 2021 |
Fejoku:I'm pretty sure there's some bini blood but I agree with the Urhobo/Isoko aspect because my dad is Ndokwa from Aboh but he gave my brother an Isoko name saying it was one of the languages that his father spoke to him as well as Ndokwa and Ukwuani |

Abohboy:Nri did not take over anybody. |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by Abohboy(op): 9:58am On Aug 22, 2021 |
SlayerForever:I said assimilated not take over, they willingly joined because they agreed with the ideology of the Nri that's why the Nri were the largest igbo kingdom and the most renowned |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by AfricanColumbus: 7:06pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
Abohboy:I was talking of Ubani(Bonny), but anyways, do you have any modern pictures of this war canoes of Aboh? |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by Abohboy(op): 7:40pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
AfricanColumbus:They stopped making the massive boats as the importance of the city declined and as the amount of trade going in and out reduced there was no reason for them to maintain the consturction of large boats. So there are only smaller boats used at festivals and a few british pictures

Abohboy:Interesting. This is a very very nice picture. Any more available? But then, how can one tell it's not from the Okoloma Ndoki (Bonny) area. |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by Abohboy(op): 10:08pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
AfricanColumbus:There aren't many of the old ones I only have one more when it comes to the new ones you can tell by the masquerades used and seen on the boats as well as the hats worn I can bring a video of the Aboh cultural festivals and you can see that water procession on large boats is a massive part of these celebrations |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by AfricanColumbus: 10:22pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
Abohboy:A video would be excellent. Thank you. |

AfricanColumbus:I'll post the link tomorrow morning when I find the video again |

Abohboy:Reviving a thread route on the River Niger, and your first target is aboh instead of Onitsha that has a booming economy and actually needs the seaport the most? |
| Re: The Aboh Are The Most Powerful People In The Middle And Lower Niger by SirBlack999(m): 10:46pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
Fejoku:Inferiority complex and somehow to feel important. He's trying to align with the Igbo heartland now because he feels he needs them, that's why this history class. I mean his people knew all these but denied being Igbo because of what? |
