First.
Anytime your AC starts blowing hot, before you check anything, first check if your car is overheating. Cos it's the most common (if not the only) sign of overheating.

I believe your Gasket is bad already. And ringing an Engine is a 70/30 chance. 70% more likely that the engine will still short oil within 3/6 months after.

If the shorting of oil is not so much yet (1litre every 2k miles), then I suggest you work just the Gasket now and save for changing the Engine later.

THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR, BUT HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO FIX THE GASKET ?

You are lucky...
Combination of factors, not just bad roads.
Top on my list is driving far before u reposition after dropping the rider, dead driving - waste fuel and valuable time. The time u will use to reach Ipaja from Ikeja I have done Ikeja to VI and back or VI to Lekki.
Corner corner roads, short distance that takes a long time to complete. Ikeja to Ipaja is 1,800max but in the same time one will do Ikeja to Ogudu or Gbagada to and fro.
When u now reach Ipaja, u will need to do prayer and fasting to get a trip back to Ikeja or Island. As most trips will be within or towards Ikotun or igando or Ijaiye or AIT (from frypan to fire) grin So I just avoid those Ipaja, Igando axis. From personal experience.
Except it's a long trip from the Island.

I DISCOVERED THAT MY OIL IS ALWAYS SHORT AND IT CONSUME FUEL MORE AND THERE IS ALWAYS SMOKE WHEN I START IT IN THE MORNING ...SO I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC.HE CHECKED AND DICOVERED THAT THERE IS OIL IN THE EXHAUST...HE TOLD ME TO CHANGE THE OIL FROM HARDEX TO MOBIL 1XHP FOR MY NEXT OIL CHANGE AND THAT I MIGHT NEED TO RING THE ENGINE SOONER OR LATER .SO I LEFT HIS PLACE.
THE NEXT DAY, I WAS AT CHEVERON WHEN I DISCOVERED THAT THE AC ISNT COOLING ANYMORE, I THOUGHT THE GAS IS OUT AND WILL REFILL LATER IN THE EVENING. AFTER LIKE 10MIN I STARTED HEARING A RUSTLING SOUND at FIRST , I THOUGHT ITS FROM THE EXHAUST BUT I KNOW THAT THE EXHAUST IS FINE...AFTER 5MIN THE CAR WENT OFF...I START AGAIN AND AFTER 5MIN , IT WENT OFF AGAIN...I STARTED AGAIN AND ITS NOT COMING UP...I CAALED THE MECHANIC IMMEDIATELY AND HE TOLD ME TO CHECK THE OIL..ONLY FOR ME TO DICOVER THAT THERE WAS NO OIL AT ALL...I GOT MOBIL 1000 XHP AND IT STARTED FINE...TILL I GOT TO LEKKI PHASE ONE...IT WENT OFF AGAIN...I INFORMED THE MECHANIC AND HE ASKED IF ITS OVERHEATING AND I SAID NO..HE SAID I SHOULD CHECK THE RADIOTOR...I CHECKED AND I DISCOVERED THAT THERE IS NO WATER ALL...I ADDED WATER AND IT STARTED FINE AND WHEN I GOT TO AJAO ESTATE ...THE SOUND CAME BACK..I CHECKED THE WATER AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE IS NO WATER INSIDE ..I REFILL AGAIN AND IT WORKED FINE TILL I GOT HOME..THE NEXT DAY, THE MECHANIC CHECKED AND SAID I NEED TO RING IT ...THAT THE GASKET IS BAD...HE SAID INTEAD OF ME FIXING THE GASKET ALONE,I SHOULD JUST RING IT ONCE AND FOR ALL WHICH WILL COST 70K.....

@GAZZUZ

While we wait for Gazzuzz, and other experts...
This is the problem of this car when it's getting old or not properly maintained with the correct fluids. Excessive oil shortage, overheating, fast engine wear coupled with gear problem for the 05-07 counterpart.
For me, I would say don't waste money on that engine, its gone already. But if you don't have money for new engine u can do remedial work. Gasket, piston, rings, connecting rods, timing components etc and plan to change engine as long as the remedial work lasts...1week, 1month, 1yr.
If u have money change gasket first, if it's not okay u change d engine.
Ringing can be done if it's for private use not for commercial use.

I taught same too, before getting a new engine it was similar net profit, I taught it was the car and maybe after changing engine it'll b different. But with new engine the difference is just about 1-2k added.

I drive a Matrix..2.4cyl. I get fuel from NORTHWEST VGC and RAINOIL Admiralty only.
Matrix 2.4??

Na it u say 2k fuel will not even show in your guage? grin
Your tank and engine is same with Corolla, just that d engine consumes more fuel cos it's a different gear with AWD.

For a vehicle used on Ehailing, a cheap rebuild will not last 1month.

Save up and replace the engine, and ensure you get a new radiator

Imagine if u don’t have any money to buy another tyre first day in the job?
My first 3months in d hustle I changed compressor and condenser e be like some juju dey welcome people to d hustle.

Na wa, compressor in just 3 months? I don’t even know how one can do preventative maintenance for a compressor.

Abeg, make una speak to lazy league manager to accept me abeg. I have been in my house sleeping since the tyre incident. Will change it out tomorrow.

Blown tyre is preventable. You must have felt you could manage it for a while before changing. A good tyre doesnt blow up.

You are correct in this case, as I had seen some signs of wear on the tyre before.

I have had a new tyre pop before though after hitting a nail. It didn’t even go down slowly, it just went from full to flat immediately, but I guess a nail is different sha.
