Taiwo explained that while this controversy was going on, a directive came from the Chief Pathologist of Lagos State, Prof John Obafunwa, to the mortuary that the body should not be released until an autopsy is conducted.

Good one from the Prof. I guess he is not happy with the police' attempt to cover up their crimes. In his mind he will be like "that autopsy wey una no wan make dem do, dem go do am".

Although I still have some reservations. I'm not sure it is the exclusive preserve of the doctor to make such declaration except a court of law. Because for all you care, the families can decide to go violent in order to have the body of their relative released to 'em. This actually hapoened in another hospital in the south west. The pathologist was beaten, then the families went back to the ward where their dead relative was initially managed in search for the doctor that certified him dead, then pummelled him join.

It was crazy.

There are endless similar cases world wide. Why is it nothing can happen in Nigeria without those that claim they are Nigerians acting as if said events are extraordinary and only capable of happing in Nigeria? Some of you people need to rethink this loudmouthed attitude because it does not impress the world and dose not shame Nigeria only you. It is beginning to make you people seem as if you’re maybe primitive, unworldly, ignorant people. undecided
