Lagos is in trouble now. Please wear your mask. The spike in cases is overwhelming the system. The B blocks closed in LUTH after first wage has been reopened and is full.
Govt is no more sponsoring treatments. It is you and your family. Oxygen is in short supply. Provision of oxygen to the patients is critical to staying alive. *Yesterday all non emergencies in LUTH has been suspended and all resources are geared to covid19 care*
Admission deposit LUTH=100k
Reddington =10million
Paelon=5million
Other places 2million-4million
Cost of treatment 300k/ day.
Lagos State Hospitals+IDH deposit ? Free but your family will buy everything. Oxygen is being pushed to the black market. To refill your cylinder at the plani 20k/ cylinder.
Black market 50 to 100k depending on availability and desperation. Patient require 8 to 16 cylinders/day. So multiply 20k to 50k times 8 to 16 cylinders/day ie approx 200 to 500k/ day.
Why to maintain oxygenation in inflammed lungs you require 6litres oxygen per minute.
This does not include Remdesivir, ivermectin etc.
Source of funding is family and friends. My friend admitted to IDH says you run out of funds you perish.
So wearing face mask + shield + distancing + hand hygiene is discomfiting.
However, contracting the virus is not only more physically discomfiting. It could bankrupt you and your family and your enemies are unlucky they die.
The key is to educate your wife and children. They are the weak link. Train them to create a family bubble.
May God protect us all. Amen.

USE YOUR MASKS BECAUSE NEW COVID-DELTA
IS DIFFERENT, DEADLY & UNDETECTABLE:

With the new COVID DELTA VIRUS there is:

NO COUGH
NO FEVER

Just a lot of:

JOINT-PAIN
HEADACHE
NECK PAIN
UPPER BACK PAIN
PNEUMONIA
GENERAL WEEKNESS
NO APPETITE

COVID-DELTA is of course, more Virulent and with a higher Death rate.

It takes less time to go to extremes, Sometimes without symptoms.

Let's be more careful!

This strain does not live in the nasopharyngeal region, now it directly affects the Lungs, which means the "Windows", the periods of time are shorter.

I have seen several patients without FEVER, without PAIN, but who report mild CHEST PNEUMONIA on their X-RAYS.

NASAL SWAB TESTS are very often NEGATIVE for COVID-DELTA, and there are more and more false negatives of NASOPHARYNGEAL TESTS.

This means that the VIRUS spreads and spreads directly to the LUNGS, causing acute respiratory stress caused by VIRAL PNEUMONIA.

This explains why it has become sharp, more virulent and deadly.

Please be more careful, avoid crowded places, keep a distance of 1.5m even in open places, use double masks, face mask and wash your hands often (and when coughing or sneezes) at the moment everyone is ASYMPTOMATIC.

This * "WAVE" * is much more deadly than the first. So we have to be VERY careful and take * all kinds of precautions *

Also be an alert communicator to your friends and family.

Don't keep this information to yourself, share it as much as you can, especially with your family and friends
