Captain8: the ndokis are blood kin with the Ngwa and asa. They as a group have never identified as ijaw. on the contrary, it was the ijaws that keep sending emissaries to ndoki kings in an effort to claim them into a future ijaw second state Called oil rivers state - am happy to report to you that as of today ,that effort is dead on arrival. The ndoki of obigbo are tired of this Rivers madness and want a return to Abia state with there brethren. It isn't a coincidence that apart from onitsha and Aba, the Ipob sentimentality runs hottest in obigbo . A look into the list of people abducted by the military in obigbo shows that they are natives- so don't sell me your bullshit that the ndoki identify as ijaw 6 Likes 1 Share |

OfoIgbo: Territories of Countries aren't established just by a traveling narrative of a foreign slave merchant. You need to know that nobody brought any land from heaven. The lands that a people presently inhabit is the land they are able to posses. This is what Israel and her Arab neighbours have come to understand that no side can push the other side out and both have rights to exist. In modern international politics, it's no longer acceptable to try to possess a territory by conquering the present inhabitants of the Territories and annex their lands. |

OfoIgbo: No sir, there was never a time that there were no Igbos in Enugu and Nnsuka. The Biafran soldiers may run away but there were igbo people living all over Enugu, Nsukka, Mbaise, Okigwe, Aba, Isiala-Ngwa etc. |

oyatz: Trying to discredit the most neutral observers. Of course they were slave traders. Was Adaka Boro not a genocidist? Was DIette Spiff not a criminal of the highest order that helped expropriate legally-acquired properties of the Igbos? But you want me to believe Alagoa's concocted tales that he keeps changing whenever he feels he is on shaky ground. Ancient people have already established the ownership of Obane/Ubani/Bonny. Ijaws were just migrant porters in Ubani. Igbos are the real owners which is why the ruling class and the vast majority of its inhabitants are Igbo-speaking, and genetically Igbo. 2 Likes |

oyatz: Enugu and Nsukka people relocated to refugee camps further into the Igbo heartland. Those places were ghost towns during the war. The only difference was that Idomas and Igalas were not landgrabbers like Ijaws, otherwise they would have commenced intimidating the northern Igbos into accepting that they are no longer Igbos, and start changing the names of those towns to non-Igbo names. Ubani cannot be Igbo in1790, 1830 and 1850. And all of a sudden, become Ijaw in 2021, unless there is a concerted Ijaw effort to claim the place by revisionism, falsification of facts, psychological intimidation of the original Igbo owners to adopt Ijaw ancestry and other manner of wickedness. 5 Likes |

OfoIgbo: One important thing you still don't understand is that ethnic identities are SELF IDENTITIES and even change with time. People define who they are and who they want to be NOT who others wish or expect them to be. If The people of Opobo and Ibani want to be seen as Igbos, they would have expressed this identity and no body can change it. Ngwa and Ezza peoples today identify as Igbos Because they want to be identified as such. Nobody is now debating whether Aba is Igbo or not despite the fact that Aba, like other Ngwa towns have Ibibio heritage. Today nobody is debating whether Kishi is a Yoruba town or not despite the fact that the Royal house in that town is of Bariba origin. Let the people of Opobo and Ibani chose who they want to be. For now, they express an Ijaw identity than an igbo identity. If colonialism didn't occur, by now the peoples of Rivers, Imo, Abia, parts of Akwa-Ibom and C/River would have fused into one super ethnic group. 1 Like 1 Share |

oyatz: The above is a pure rubbish. If a war breaks out, captured areas can be annexed. There was nothing such as West Bank in 1947. The area was known as part of Judea and Samaria. Arab legionnaires led by British commanders captured the place in 1948 from young and new Israeli country. The west in the bank denotes west of River Jordan. Since the Arabs know the implication of returning the name to its original format continued with West bank, a thing usually not in line with Arabs. If the Israelis had the same mindset as the Arabs, the issue of Gaza and West Bank would have long be settled because these goofy Arabs would have been driven into Egypt and Jordan which were their original places of abode. 4 Likes |

Idiko1:P This is true but not the whole truth. 1) Judea and Samaria are recent Israeli names (based on ancient Israelite names) for the area. The whole area were parts of the Ottoman Pronvince of Syria-Palestine. 2) After the defeat of Ottoman Empire and the Axis Power in the WW-1, the League of Nations (Precursor of the United Nations) was given the mandate to administer the former Ottoman Territories and it divided it into British Mandate and French Mandate. 2) By 1948, the UN Mandate of Palestine was divided into Isreal and Arab areas. The Arabs rejected the partitions, instead insisting on being given the whole of Palestine. The Jews accepted the portion and proclaimed the Jewish State of Israel on their portion. 3) The next day, the surrounding Arab countries invaded the newly created State of Israel. The Arab Kingdom of Transjordan crossed River Jordan and captured the west Bank of the River, annexing it into the Kingdom and granted citizenship to the Palestinians in the area. Syria captured the Golan Heights and Egypt captured Gaza Strip. 4) In the 1967 Arab-Isreali 6-Day war, Isreal recaptured all these areas and went further to capture the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt. In all of these, we should note that ; * Israel has returned the captured territories. * The annexation of the West Bank by Jordan was not from a sovereign country. It had since been reversed in 1969 and the Palestinians expelled from Jordan. |

oyatz: That you put a gun to someone's head, with the threat of loosing their properties, and you force them to adopt your ethnic group, is not natural and organic. Ask yourself how come after the psychological threats hammered on the Igbos of Ubani (Bonny or Obani as the white slave traders called it), yet the most flamboyant and most known politician in Opobo, made it clear that Opobo is Igboland, occupied by Igbos. Mazi Peterside doesn't even use an Igbo name, yet he knows his heritage. And you Ijaws made it worse for yourself, when you joined those teasing Igbos that they have no access to the sea, and you think Igbos will allow you expropriate sea-hugging Igbo territories like Ubani and Opobo. Ndoki people are solidly in the Igbo camp. The events of late last year have revealed to them who their true brothers are. Alagoa can write and bribe hungry Ndoki people to write unsubstantiated books, but when the kolanut arrives, the true Igbo will be known. Why are Ndoki, Ngwa, Omuma, Asa and others championing the ENOA state movement? Clearly an Igbo state. Why are Ndoki people not fighting to join Bayelsa or even Rivers state? These are questions you should be asking yourself also. Even the Ndokis in RIvers state, want to join their Abia-Ndoki people and Ngwa people in forming their own state. Is that not a huge statement? 3 Likes 1 Share |

Rugaria: The day other major tribes like Igbo, Yoruba, and Hausa begin to aspire like the Fulani and Ijaw, that is day Nigeria will begin to balance. The 2 most devious and strategic tribes in Naija are the Ijaws and Fulanis, guess what? the 2 are eternal allies and both are not aboriginal to Nigeria..........Fulanis are from guinea/Senegal and Ijaws trace their origins from Ghana/Togo. 5 Likes |

I believe it will start with this generation of Ndigbo. I don't know about Yoruba sha. Bini people can sit and watch Ijaw strangers dictate what happens in their port, Urhobos and Itsekiri can as well but Ndigbo won't allow such. An Attempt on one and they risk all |
