I'll be resigning in the from my work place to venture into Freelancing full time. Why?

Because my work is so stressful. It's 6:04am and I'm already late for work. I'll be at the work place doing tedious work till 7:30pm. I'll have to be standing till that evening time of the day. It's a one man business and I risk being fired any time. From March to August, I've been able to save 55k. I don't do it drinks. Neither do I smoke or buy expensive things for myself. Well, yes. I don't have a girlfriend. So saving 55k portrays how zealous I am with the savings with the little I earn. Now, I'm facing a health challenge: a back and waist pain. So I want out.

Planning on focusing on the Freelancing route.

My worry now is, am I making the right decision?

I need your advice. What would you do if you were to be me?

To be or not to be?

You didn't tell us the freelance u are venturing into..

Affiliated marketing
copy writing
photography

First of all I am more concerned about your health, hence my advise is that you avoid as much as possible, any job that out your health at risk especially when it is clear that that your health is at risk. Secondly, you have been able to save just about 10k per month, that is not encouraging too and lastly if you are below 26, quit the job whether you have any skill or not and try something else BUT if you are above 26, quit the job still but before you quit, make sure you have someone that will provide you with your basic needs like TP, accommodation, food etc while searching for new job

I will advise to wait a little bit while you venture into something different and once it starts to pay off, you can then leave.

I did the same. Sometimes February this year. But before I quoted, I was already earning more than my salary designing website on fiverr. I also had some savings though as a back up in case.

I will advice you start earning little from freelancing before you quit. So that by the time you eventually decide to leave the ample time will enable you earn more.

If you leave without having any source of income at all will make you eat your savings and you will most likely become depressed.

Freelancers experience depression oo.
Guy please teach me freelancing. I'm good already with writing.

My one cent:

Gigs don't come always: know this.

If you don't have a gen, a PC, and cannot go on at least 10gb data monthly, don't even bother. I'll advise you leave the animation thing cos you'll be competing with the big lords and you wouldn't stand a chance.

Focus on writing. Even foreigners leave their people and prefer blacks.

In the freelance world, it's not easy here. It's competitive too. BE more interested in satisfying your clients than the money if you want to last long.

You should start earning first... Otherwise work that freelance gig like your life depends on it (meaning from 6am to 6pm until the income is stables).

If you have not started earning money from the internet, don't quit your job (except you can survive on your savings for at least 3 months while being able to afford internet and electricity).

If I was you, I would start with 4 hours a day after work. I have a day's job and I close by midnight and still press computer. Take coffee, if that doesn't work, take tramadol. Don't quit your job until you have started earning something from your side hustle.

Most importantly, tell your boss you would leave next month and train your replacement.

Do advise me, is it better I remain in the basic plan and be buying connects or just upgrade membership?
