Is it safe to convert a 2.5L engine of a T4 transport from fuel injector to carburator?

Of recent the engine is giving me problems and my mechanic advice me to convert to carburator then I will get rest of mind.

I need advice from experience members.

A T4 was never offered with carburetor engine. Change your mechanic
