Did you listen to the Olu coronation speech? When whatever the issue was, he ran to Benin and met with Oba Akenzua II and they both placed the curse. By 1959/60 Nnamdi Azikiwe was already the Governor General of Nigeria so it’s likely he was in the federal government…. His role was largely ceremonial sha so I don’t think he even had the power to dethrone anybody.

NCNC and NPC formed an alliance. Azikwe achieved it with the help of power from the center. Reason why a Delta-Igbo man, Dennis Osadebe was made the Regional prime minister of mid-west.
