I visited as a tourist and got a place via Airbnb so the market price in the local town would be lower but for a furnished one-bedroom flat for about 3-weeks. I paid about $800 -$900. This covers water, electricity and the internet too.

Also, I flew, I don't know how safe the route is for you to drive unless you are going to pay a trusted coyote.

by road, you mean you have already laid plans for your burial and other expenditures that will arise when bandits scatter your carcass for the vultures to feed on?... My contribution can only be beneficial if you are traveling by air, in that case I shall recommend places you can meet right people (Moroccans) who value and love the Nigerian culture, music and arts..
