I remember helping someone here to track down a debtor who ran away with his N15m.
The shocking part was that we were the one who end up giving money to feed the guy and get him a bail when police got him arrested.

A supplier here is owing me some money, I’ve completely forgotten about it and I’ve given him even bigger jobs.

I’m very quick to forgive, forget and move on with my life. It’s far cheaper for me than taking medications or having people organize pity parties for me.

When some of us move on, it is not because we are weak but because we’ve been down that path and we know the resources and effort will probably not amount to anything.

Just we wasting extra money to get someone that won’t still end up paying the debt.

From police collecting money to track down debtor, To police charging for mobilization, to police not being able to detain more than 48hrs, to lawyer accepting money to charge the case to court, to we waiting forever for court to appoint us a date, bavk and forth.

I am now more careful with my resources and more careful with whosoever i sign deals with or give jobs to avoid this heartache

I'm currently working on a project for a client here. I was done with design since February 2021. We made payment for approval since February or March. We even settled my contact in the civil service with whooping N200k and some other payments that do not have records.

The most interesting part is that this client who's well connected still call me to say "Thank you" for an uncompleted job and he was still showing empathy for the stress the ministry are making me to go through over the job.

We talk as brothers. He wasn't mad at me because of issues I have no control over.

When he decided to prevail on the matter with his connection, even the most dread officers in Lagos State Tax Office and Ministry of Physical Planning delivered what was taking over 5 months to address in less than 4 hours.

I think he value his mental health and do all he can to prevent avoidable heartache.

I was compelled to refund the monies paid to a staff of the Lagos State Civil Service. Despite the fact that maverick live just 5 minutes drive from the Ikota office of the Ministry of Physical Planning, Lagos. He wasn’t ready to go to the office to fight the govt even when the guys there were waiting for him to come and challenge them.

That’s why I laugh when we say Elders here. May I not become such elder who turn blind eyes to the truth.

Good morning everyone. This was what happened.

When she made contact, I asked her if she wanted a commercial door or personalized door and she chose the later. I showed her samples and she made a choice. When I told her the price, she called me on phone to negotiate and I explained in details what materials I will work with and I specifically mentioned plain pan.

She was part of the building process as she receives daily update on what I was doing which includes more than two pictures at a time. After painting the doors, that's why she started the issue. I was still explaining to her on WhatsApp why the door can't have the design on the back but she rushed here. The reasons are as follows;

The size of pipe is 1½" and that design takes up 1¼" so there's no space at the back to do anything else.

Another thing is weight. Already that door is very heavy as it is due to the materials which are basically wrought iron. 14mm wrought iron was used to make the design. Adding more weight will affect the frame and hinges.

I even gave her an offer. I told her if anyone else will do that same door for 80,000 in Lagos, I will dash her 50,000 for inconveniences. The only reason I wanted to do the job for her at the price even with significant looses was to advertise my business here and around her estate and I told her that even before I started. Calling me a fraud and cheat wasn't what I expected.


At this point, I regret taking the job.

And dangote being under pressure/ with problems is also making Lafarge and bua increase there prices ?

All the other inputs of building Materials like tiles , wires , aluminum windows , roofing ,glass , etc is caused by this same dangote problems?

Diesel is almost 300 for god sake , transfer dollar is about 520 now and still not readily available , inflation is running at 17 % , port congestion is there . this are some of the issues confronting manufacturers and importers , Commodity prices are also rising worldwide, copper , steel etc , freight from india , china are at record high . 40 feet from china was about 5k dollars a year ago , it’s about 14k now

I use about 2k liters of diesel daily for my operation and you don’t expect me to increase prices with all I stated above .

Prices are rising simply because of inflation , devaluation and more adverse business conditions . I do agree however that some are taking advantage ,oligopoly in the cement industry has been there for a long time, dint start in the last 5 years

From the beginning you don’t want to take any responsibility at all fine I make mistake by helping you inform of recommending someone to help with your bore hole… what you sent through me has been used by the guy for the purchase of materials and foe the little work they did… I don’t kenos why you are still bringing this up… the matter is at the station already, I show you the receipt of 20k I paid for his tracking… you never one day take the initiative by yourself and look for this guy… you claimed the balance is 100k… I transferred 50k to you paid police 20k… what else do you want me to do?

The same guy did my Borelhole and as of today the borehole is no longer working due to the fact that he used a wrong pipe or so…

This will be last response on this issue.

From day one you were never there or have a representative to monitor them before he packed his stuff and left your site.

I'm very sorry for the late reply. I was swamped with work.

I have witnessed the installation of the bio-digester but it was quite a long time now and we've done series of discussion on the system (the pros and cons).

I think it's a very cool solution and I'd recommend it. One of the major challenge right now is getting a perfect installer as my verified contact for the installation of the system is unreachable now.

What I can do to help is to visit one of his old installations to get his details. I hope that's fine.
