Those type of politians, we have more than 995,475 of them in naija.

It's a lack of empathy my brother. Those fools occupying public offices around the nation have no heart.

For goodness sake, Nigeria owes all of us. We're struggling. While you're making money and fame, kindly invest heavily in your future. Sports is one of the jobs with shortest employment span

How much will it cost the country to give a helping hand. Ur vucking government spend billions on useless fruitless trips abroad from tax payers purse.
The man is just asking for a little assistance

give them or give everyone in Nigeria. Everyone is suffering this bad government. Even the the elected are suffering it. Shey one of them lost his son recently.

These people have the opportunity of using their voice to call out the government to do better but no, they will wine and dine with them waiting for awards. How many came out during the endsars protests. They didn't but they want Nigerians who suffer same bad government to help them

Having said that,no one deserves special treatment

And you want to blame some Nigerians born in foreign lands for not representing Nigeria

You can imagine!!! Some Nigerians representing at the Olympics said they only had one jersey.. after use you wash..

What will now happen to those kind of athletes after retirement?? A country that can't provide mere jersey will have a retirement plan for you??

Bleep the system!!!
Well said

Stephen Ugboo Goes Blind, Begs In Enugu Street To Feed

Nigerians need to do more and complain less, everyone can help make things better. Stephen Ugboo obviously requires public as well as private help. Those drawing attention to his plight, for instance, could set up crowed funding for him.

Nigeria sha! nawa o. At least as his news don finally come out now, I'm sure blessing go locate am soonest. I wish I was wealthy tho. I don't know ,I hate seeing people suffer, it dey do me one kine. Seeing old people hawking on the street or doing menial jobs breaks my heart and some people will be embezzling money meant for old pensioners and no conscience or concern. Our leaders are heartless, very very.

It’s not about our leaders, we are Just heartless and Selfish creatures, our leaders are Just reflections of who we are.

Don’t be offensive, mister. Say YOU and those that YOU know are heartless and selfish Creatures, don’t label me and the Nigerians that I know selfish and heartless because we are not. In fact, I don’t know any people, race or nationalities more generous, kinder or more loving than Nigerians I know. My mum saved many lives in Nigeria. There are even Nigerians I don’t know personally that seem to give what they have to others and many raise money for unrelated people that need help. I may be wrong, but aren’t Nigerians even the world’s no one in remittance? Good percentage of these Nigerians struggle to make end meet abroad but they send what they can to Nigeria and in so many cases send what they cannot afford.

I personally don’t believe that there are any kinder people in the world than Nigerians.

Yes Nigeria owes him. He's a national hero. Other nations value and appreciate their heroes. Moreover Sports wasn't as lucrative then as it is now. Then it was all about the glory.

Did Steve Ogboo win a gold medal at the 1974 commonwealth games? I'm an avid boxing fan for the past forty years. In the 1974 Commonwealth Games, Nigeria had only three gold medalists in boxing - Obisia Nwankpa and Eddie Ndukwu, had only one silver medalist, Fatai Ayinla, and two bronze medalists, Isaac Ikhouria and Saliu Ishola. On learning about Steve, I was confused, because it was a completely new name. I couldn't recollect hearing about him, so I opened the website containing the information about the 1974 games. Unfortunately, Steve's name wasn't there. Here is a link to the website: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1974_British_Commonwealth_Games. So where did Steve win his boxing medal?

His name does not even feature in the World Amateur Boxing championship held in Havana Cuba that year,

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1974_World_Amateur_Boxing_Championships

Maybe it was some other invitational tournament that he won. Definitely not the Commonwealth games.
