Like what would it take to fix the major roads in the state, even Lanfenwa in the capital is not left out. Road will just be spoiling cars anyhow.

Are you sure this Ogun state shouldn't be declared a state of emergency on?
That's the only way out
The fools that comes year in & out, they just come, shop and go
Nothing to help fix any road

The roads are terrible indeed, I am presently at ifo for an assignment, Lagos Axis to precise and yesterday the Keke I entered from opeilu to gas line nearly fell down as a result of bad road, No single road, not even one is tarred.

It's in Ogun state that I saw where they have been repairing a road that takes less than 3 minutes to cross since January, sango joju road to iyana OTA has been under construction since January, I passed there yesterday and saw just 5 workers, one tractor and nothing more, imagine mixing cement with shovels and doing the discharge with headpans.
Na gutter them still dey construct since 8 months now.
With the rate at which this government is working, we won't get there in 20 years.

The worst thing in Ogun state is that there is no single functional state road, all old roads have been built since before Gbenga Daniel or so. All roads that links villages and towns together are not tarred and in the worst shape.

OJURONGBE1:
Don't even go there.
You wanted Amosun's cronies to continue in governance & keep plunging Ogun state civil servants into life misery?
GNI would have been a better choice than Akinlade, who was at a time HOR member but could not nominate a single project for his constituency.

What did Amosun do exactly in Ogun state than constructing overhead bridges & sentizing the eyebrows of Abeokuta ? Is Abeokuta the only place in ogun state?

Have you care to research how much IGR forgotten places like Agbara, Sango, Ewekoro & Mowe remit into the coffers of Ogun state government?
We have never been lucky with good governance in Ogun state.
Before Constituted Authority started misyarn, he turned oyo state around. Did very laudable projects & was paying Oyo state do-nothings civil servants. Seyi has continued where he left off. You need to see Oyo state. Why can't we have those sort of personnel in ogun state?
Why must our governors enables crime , cultism & transport workers radicalism. Why?
Although you made salient points; most of which I agree with...but my question is this, are the civil servants faring better under Dapo Abiodun...I mean, the major reason Ogun Civil Servants disliked Amosun was the non-remittance of their salary deductions to respective cooperatives and likes. Dapo has refused to keep to his promise of paying off outstanding he met and not owe any himself.

Akinlade is no Saint...with some skirmishes here and there...but I am beginning to think he would have done a better job....he wouldn't have abandoned his district this much. Definitely, Gboyega would have been a better candidate considering the fact that he didn't have any godfather at the time...but it is what it is, winning a governorship election anywhere in the world without strong backings mostly come short.

Like you said, Ogun has never been blessed with an all rounder Governor. Sadly enough, we can never know who the true messiah of the state is before elections....unfortunately, with the signs on ground the same mistake will still made come 2023.

Until our people do away with 2 cups of rice and veg oil for PVCs and votes...the circle continues

Fingers crossed

When you look at Gov Abiodun, he looks like a responsible man. However, the constant media report of the state of roads in Ogun is disappointing, to say the least.

If that man is serious about governance, he should focus on constructing those roads. What does he do with all the IGR of the state?
like i don't know o

The state is going through all sorts of difficulties not just about road or infrastructures. You wouldn't imagine the state lacks teachers in all her public schools. It's been a decade they last recruited teachers. It was during Gbenga Daniel's regime they recruited last

The students are at the receiving end. Funny part of it was the governor through her ministry of education made it compulsory for school principals in the state not to repeat or fail students.

This country needs deliverance.

A very promising residential area that shares border with Lagos state... The only bad thing about this area is Road... Good electricity, Very peaceful and nice accommodation.

Lagos state should just annex these areas, afterall more than 80% of employees and even employers that lives here works in Lagos state.

Dapo Abiodun is the most useless Governor currently... What exactly is that man doing as a governor, paying salaries?
Atleast, obaseki and okowa is better than this clueless governor.

The last election presented these lots the oppurtunity to vote an Ogun West person to become Governor, but they sold their birthright to another region at the last minute.

Cry me a river, I don't give a damn....I shouted on top of my voice at the time, but their disdain for Amosun and greed made them throw the baby away with the birth water. We can't because our child has a big yansh, we now result to decorating another's with beads....Good morning Ogun West people grin

Before Dapo would cater for Bourdillion, all the political jobbers and warlords in his camp, and then settle the debt he incurred to fund the race...crumbs are left to pay salaries...hence, developmental projects are relegated to the back seat.
U have hit the nail on the head. Gbam!
