It's something about pre-1970s Nigeria which younger generations might find confusing. In the 60s, Ikeja (the capital of Lagos State today) would be described as "a town so-so kilometers outside Lagos"!

Yea, weird right? Lagos was only a city (Lagos Island) until the creation of Lagos State.

Even when completed the road is clearly poorly networked. Motorists have to go a long way just to find a U-turn.
Best they forfeit the BRT lane and make the roads wider

I remember those years when Fasola was boasting that he would complete the work in 3yrs. He would later come back and use the same project he unilaterally started to campaign against Jonathan.

I was in 200level in the university when I first saw this ongoingproject.....that's 2012

Plus ASUU strike + school + strike....many years still not completed.

I went for service, started working, got married, have kids, yet almost 10 years , one decade, they are still on this project.

First to Julius Berger, next I heard Babalakin Bycourtney is involved, next to court, next to no concrete outcome from court..

May our life not be like Nigeria.

*UPDATE ON LAGOS BADAGRY EXPRESSWAY CONSTRUCTION WORKS UNDER CCECC*

Recently CCECC had improved more on the speed at which our construction work is going on the Lagos Badagry Expressway. The construction work along Vox- Iyano-Iba- Lasu gate- okokomaiko to Afromedia is receiving serious attention. All things been equal if the weather is favorable tomorrow Saturday, the Iyano-Iba interchange bridge will be casted this weekend. The piling work of the fly-over bridge is almost completed.

The aim is to complete all the road aspect of the project to Afromedia before the end of this year 2021 while all the bridges will be completed in the year 2022.

All for a greater Lagos.

Was it not Saraki that enemies of the country are hailing that cut financing for Lagos Ibadan expressway in 2016, causing stoppage of work for 2 years. Now they are projecting him for president

I just can't help but laugh when I hear that coinage "greater Lagos"....yesterday the little rain that fell from abule egba in bound Salolo via Amadia...almost all the houses on that axis were half way submerged in water...no proper planning no drainage just reckless property developments.

This Chinese company is incompetent Ccecc or whatever the name is. There is a huge porthole along the road they claim to have constructed along moshalashi bustop to first gate before the pedestrian bridge that potholes is been there for months and nothing is been done about it as it gets wider especially during this rainy season motorist are finding it very difficult to ply the road
