The Rivers State House of Assembly, on Wednesday, rescreened and cleared all nine former Commissioners for re-appointment into the cabinet of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

LEADERSHIP reports that Fubara had few days ago resubmitted the names of the nine nominees, who in November, 2023 resigned from his cabinet in the wake of a political crisis between him and the immediate-past governor of the state, Nyesom Wike apparently in solidarity with the latter.

However, the former commissioners were not subjected to any question as they were asked to take ‘a bow and leave’ the chamber.

His Supreme Court case is still undecided and Tinubu has come to Wike's rescue..

Even the representation of the budget, I know he will do it, he might send his deputy.

But the commandment I am still waiting for, is the one pertaining the Local Government elections.

He has been ordered not to appoint caretaker chairmen.

I do not expect him to abide by that one,, that wasn't a direct fall out of the crisis.

Governors are appointing caretakers across the country and you cannot command Sim not to.

If he obeys that one then he will dig his political grave.

I hope the governor will be brave enough to assign them to a position different from the one they resigned from , especially the finance commissioner, give him a lesser position, if him no like na him sabi.
