According to the video making rounds online, the UK-Based Pastor and Church Historian, Roberts Liardon said that the Churches in America don't enjoy the same liberty the Churches in Nigeria enjoyed.

"The thing that also impressed me was the way they pray. Everybody pray in tongue loud and aggressive, and you could hear the sound of the prayer of the 100,000 people, echoing into the heavens, it was phenomenon. I've been in great meetings with my grandmother and mum, I've been in revival during the 90's, they're all amazing but I've never had anything like this. They're praying in tongue with passion, declaring the word of God and it is raw, that there is revival," Roberts Liardon said.

The UK-Based Pastor said revival is already going on in Nigeria, while they discuss about it in America. "You know, in America we talk about revival, organize revival, have revival meetings, discuss revival. I do all that and I'm glad to do it but in Nigeria, they don't discuss it, they do it. All the argument we have here, whether we should pray in tongue out loud because of the government, it scares many of the big Churches and they do not want to answer questions and deal with issues that tongue create, but in Nigeria, everybody are roaring and praying in tongue aggressively, and that's how they praise God too. They praise God with the intensity of the spirit," Roberts Liardon.

He further added that the Churches in America don't enjoy the same liberty the Churches in Nigeria enjoyed. "What we are afraid to do in America, they do it freely in Nigeria. I'm telling you, it's an amazing thing. Revival is not coming to Nigeria, it's already landed, it's moving, it's growing and it's going to be a great thing to have such deposit brought back here to us. We need to build our churches like that but we're scared," Roberts Liardon said.

"Praying" in tongues is a lie! Another doctrine meant to deceive and delude folks in the name of God, away from God's own Truth. undecided

As far as religion is concerned, the Nigerian government is scared of the Nigerian people... Or maybe they just use it to keep us busy.

There's no revival in Nigeria . All that's here is just backwardness and hypocrisy in the form of religion . And that's why poverty and corruption keep infiltrating the Nigerian society

Nope, they're scared !

You can take anything away from a Nigerian, but don't tamper with his religion, bcs that's the only place he drives comfort and pleasure.

After all, our government has been a failure since God knows when !

Not surprised but trust me sir, if you thought revival has already started in Nigeria, then you ain't seen nothing yet. Wait til you see what's coming, because this would be nothing compared to what is about to happen.

Nigeria is going to shock and shake the whole world. Remember what happened in Egypt right, with Moses and the Rod of God, something very similar is going to happen right here in Nigeria where the attention of the whole world would be beamed upon this nation. And it wouldn't be for something evil but for a very good thing, because God's gonna be the One on the console handling proceedings.

And it shall surely come to pass.

God bless.

Your president/ governors uses oil money to build mega mosques in the North. Not once, not twice has it become news on NL. Yet its the church that's the source of Nigeria's woes and tribulations.

Some will never see the light of enlightenment. There's this brainwashing that the church is the cause of Nigeria's problems. It's a flawed logict frequently expressed on this forum, and one wonders if people still think.

They ask why churches don't build roads, and develop the country, yet they cannot hold the people mandated to do it to account. They should even be happy that churches give them universities, hospitals and schools.

These churches were built on their own, not with citizen taxes. Just like the unending pilgrimage.

Throughout the ages, the church has always been hated. No doubt. But one will think that in this 21st century, with so much info on the Internet, people will read up first before they throw stones at the church. This administration has seen the president /governors taking crude oil revenue to build mosques, yet no Muslim, no matter how Liberal, will ever say anything, publicly, against it.
The Church of God in Nigeria owes no one any apology for building a bigger church for their God. Members, not the government are the ones funding these projects. My denomination has one of a 100000. Others are building even bigger. Detractors should get ready to cry blood. cheesy

The unnatural hate for Christianity is something that won't go away.

But why must they pretend it's the cause of backwardness in Nigeria?

the same Satan who sponsored the persecution and death of Christians all through the ages, even by the Catholic inquisition, is not relenting at all. He knows Christianity is legal in many countries. So he sponsors hate instead. If Christians and the Church of Christ can't be eliminated, they should be hated and blamed for everything that goes wrong.
