There is no silver-bullet one-size-fits-all answer to this question as it is very subject to emotions, individual opinions and financial status.

However, while you (as the seller) are advised to state your "lastest" price for quick sales (and avoidance of backlashes and criticisms that go on here), the onus is entirely on the buyer to do due diligence (in terms of price, quality and avoidance of risk from scammers) before making purchases.

Sadly, dictating the price people should sell their stuffs here (especially when you are not an independent body) is not only weird, but also unsustainable and counter-productive.

Understand that competing/conflicting priorities are at play here - sellers (not only middlemen, but also direct owners) wanting to make the most money from their wares, and buyers wanting to buy at the cheapest prices.

Only the market forces of demand and supply (and buyer due diligence) can fix prices that will balance out both priorities.

If seller's fix unrealistic prices, buyers won't buy. And buyers negotiate prices like the item is stolen, seller's won't sell.

So before this thread gets heated for the umpteenth time for this same issue, let us direct our efforts instead towards enlightening buyers to always do due diligence before buying stuffs here.
