If I were the OP, I won’t even have any conversation with him. I will take it up as a fraud case from my end immediately. My only goal would be to recall my funds COMPLETE, not swap anything. If he had a new one, he wouldn’t have sold a USED to me and I don’t even trust him anymore. So I no do again!

OP, go for a FULL REFUND of your money. No one should defend this.

I'm.just wondering how someone can be so rough with a phone that in two days, the brand new phone looks like the picture posted, battery last only 6 hours and charger looks like it's been used for over a year. Mr Psalms, Jeff trusted you that's why he didn't open the pack in your office(big mistake). In your heart you know you sold a used phone as brand new to him. Money is not easy to get these days. Do the needful and end this. Refund his money and amend your ways.

Call your bank, tell them this same thing you told us. Next time do not delay. Once you suspect fraud or you are defrauded like in your case, call them immediately.

Bought a supposed brand new Samsung S10+ phone from psalmz (https://www.nairaland.com/psalmz).
Got home and discovered that the phone was actually a used phone they had repackaged.
The AKG earpiece was fake and got bad the next day.
The battery only lasts about 6 hours when it should be min of 12hours.
I complained to him 2 days after buying the phone and he promised to change it.
I kept going to Ikeja to find him and every time I wouldn't meet him there.
He finally told me to meet some guy to change the phone for me, I was expecting to be given another new phone but all I got was UK used.
Told him since I hadn't used the phone for a month, he can deduct 30k from the 180k I paid him.
Gimme 150k lemme return the phone and bear my loss.
That was where story changed to 'business isn't done that way'.

If you are going to buy phone from him, I hope you do so with utmost diligence.
Preferably, don't buy from him because he's a cheat.
