Buhari Halts $418 Million Payment To Consultants On Paris Club Refund by Nobody: 11:22am On Sep 10, 2021
The controversial payment of $418 million to consultants over the Paris Club refund has been put on hold by President Muhammadu Buhari, TheCable understands.

Despite initially approving the payment, Buhari on Thursday directed the ministry of finance to ask the Debt Management Office (DMO), which was supposed to pay in form of promissory notes, to stay action “until all the cases are exhausted”.

Good move by the dictator. $418 million for consultants, did they consult Zeus or Poseidon? Nigerians govt officials have turned budget padding into a multi million dollar venture. Check similar cases involving Indonesia, Kenya, Senegal, Ghana etc and you will understand why this amount is a big rip off.
