I have been thinking about this now for some time, I pray in Jesus name, but make all requests to God, whom , Christians believe is the father of Jesus. , I concluded that am worshiping God, what then is the function of Jesus, because according to the Bible, we are all sons and daughters of God.

Father sent his SON, that ONLY through His only son, you get access to Him. So both are the SAME. This thing is spiritually discerned and can not be understood without the Holyspirit.

God first created one spirit being {Proverbs 8:22} God taught this creature so many things as both of them lived together for countless years {Proverbs 8:23-29} then God wants his Son to be happy so God directed his Son how to create all other things both visible that were seeing today {Colossians 1:15-16} but out of all the things God directed the son to make humans are the son's choicest creature {Proverbs 8:30-31} so after humans joined Satan (a rebellious angel) against God, mankind became damned that's why the son stood up for our salvation to redeem us from that curse. Daniel 12:1-3

So whoever wants to live forever must OBEY the one who stood for our salvation {John 3:16-18} that's why the son as the key to the Father's {John 14:6} whoever wants to have the crown of life must bow before the Son of God! Philippians 2:10

Mind you bowing doesn't mean worshiping the Son but taking Counsels from him because God made him the most Wonderful Counselor of all times {Isaiah 9:6} and given him the power to raise the dead like a mighty God, so obedience to him will make the Father approve you and your name will be written in the book of life! Malachi 3:16 compare to Revelations 20:15

If you want to know how to obey Jesus, you need to learn from his true followers who will teach you what he commaded! Matthew 28:20

God is God of Laws/agreements /Covenants - it is through these Covenants that He forges relationships with us, men, and the mandate He gives to those with whom He makes these agreements with is one of submission to and obedience of His Law. His Law is God over those under the agreement.

"YHVH" and "Jesus Christ" are both God's Laws.

So, in Jesus Christ, God's New Covenant Law and agreement, in the Kingdom of God, you worship God by serving Jesus Christ. You submit to and obey the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ who is God's Law. Jesus Christ is God over all those who belong in the Kingdom of God - He is Law and those who belong to Him belong to God.

Worship is to be directed only to the true God and Father because this was what Jesus told his disciples. Matthew 6:9, John 4:23-24
As for the words in bold, Jesus is the mediator between God and men(1Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 9:15) so if you don’t go through Jesus, the Father has nothing to do with you. John 14:6, 15:16

According to 1Corinthians 8:5, there are thousands of Gods operating in the spirit realm. So which of them were they praying to?

How do you expect to contact the managing director of a firm if you don’t go through the executive secretary? Do you think you can get to him through workers of lower ranks? Wouldn’t it be appropriate to go through the proper channel?

God, as spoken of in the Bible, declares the way to get to Him is through one of the Laws He has given to men. And Jesus Christ is His Law to the world(Gentiles). And so, yes. Jesus Christ is the only Way He has provided for us to receive from Him answers we seek, even to prayers.

Again, The Old Covenant Law , YHWH, which you refer to, was given by Adonai to those descended from the blood of Jacob and meant as agreement for their living here on earth in the Land of Canaan - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20
