Stop giving money to beggars, they are all building mansion from people's sweat while you pay house rent

I swear na serious business. Many of dem don build houses for their towns. One Alhaji go pack like 40 persons come Lagos dey collect daily commission on their heads. Papa go dey do treasurer for hin wife and children. Dey use dem to gather money. If u won do good, there is at least one fatherless home within 10km of your location in Lagos. Go there and drop whatever u won drop

Kindly be more specific on how you think they can be empowered. Abi should they give them cash? Just asking.

When they use the word rescue, what is it supposed to mean in this respect? Will they be taken off the streets, rehabilitated and given homes, etc? What will happen to the professional beggars among them who are from the northern part of the country? Will they be sent back to their respective states/villages?
