My brother, even the way we are slamming Xhaka now, by the time he joins another club we will start whining. As for Ramsey, we miss his energy and ability to make those goal scoring runs into the box. However, it's only Wenger that knows how to use him.
I am 100% sure I'll never be part of those who'll miss Xhaka. undecided

Why he no go miss am? Baba miss trolling the boi, He for don pinn all the Arsenal woes on him, Funny enough, things were even far better when the boi was here. cheesy

As for Arsenal, I'm just a casual fan, I don't watch games again, a bro that saw the relegation cracker game( Norwich) said he wasn't impressed, not like the Arsenal of those days, I wasn't even suprised. Me is just waiting and hoping for a rebuild.

I'm not confident with Saka,ESR,Martinelli yet, Auba doesn't inspire me, in fact I don't believe in this team.

On the other side of the coin is that Norwich also came fighting very hard. We had a number of close scoring opportunities not converted; two by Auba, another by ESR and even Saka wasted another opportunity that could have led to a goal. Norwich also had 2 very close opportunities though.

Let me just say Norwich did all they had to do, it was a tensed battle, but thank God we came on top. The way Norwich fought and lost honorably is what I expected from our matches with Chelsea and City.

Yes, maybe games are now more intensed than it used to be, Same Norwich defeated city 2 yrs ago.
That "fighting hard" thing has been an issue for long at Arsenal, I don't know if its the manager's fault here or the players are just plain weak, soft and lazy.

Anybody seeing this Everton vs Burnley match? The Dacoure pass to Gray in the build up to the third goal; that's exactly how one would expect Xhaka to be playing forward passes instead of holding on to the ball unnecessarily and trying to shield the ball to win fouls.

Play a pass into space and allow Ur attackers make a run for it

That game is end to end, I love the energy from both side.

This Everton side look promising, they never even introduce James, in times like this, I envy Everton fans...see the stadium bubbling.. Chai. oh my Arsenal.

Mehn, their midfield with Decoure and Allan is at the base is really solid.

As regards how promising their team is, truth be told in the past two years those guys have been making good deals in the transfer window. See them parading Gray, Townsend, Rondon, Dacoure and other EPL tested players and showing great promises.

This is what I've been advocating for a while now, Arsenal just park money to transfer market ; but any random player that plays whatever position we are looking to fill, yet we abandon such players that are available in the league playing for smaller teams but doing really well.

Despite the money Ancelloti made them spend before he bolted, Everton still spent this transfer window to further improve the team. That's how to plan for the future and not the nonsense Edu and that Vini-whatevwr are doing at arsenal angry

In fact you spoke my mind on their transfer deals, 100% agreed and on point. When I saw Gray and Townsend up top, I envy them o.

They reminded me of when Utd were bringing in Maguire, AWB and Fernandez, now they are icing it with Varane, Sancho and CR7( who you regarded as atleast 20 goals a season player).

Btw, English commentators sabi sha, He said Townsend not a great goal scorer but scorer of great goals. kiss

What the management of arsenal have failed to understand is that u need to show the players currently on Ur books the desire to improve the team and be more competitive by bringing in quality players to complement them.

Even Liverpool that look to have their front sorted still brought in Jota Last season. Leicester with Iheanacho in form still brought in a new CF this season.

Araenal's to do this is the reason why u see players like Leno hinting at leaving because the team seems to lack ambition under the current management.

I delibrately didn't reply that guy because he's a troll and I don't feed trolls.

My points were very clear in my post, did u see anywhere I called Ramsey a bad player in that post? I only pointed out how Arsenal as a club(through Wenger) Gave everything to have ramsey become a big player. I think he spent almost 8 years or thereabouts at the club ; he broke his leg in between and spent over a year out injured, came back not so good still the Wenger held it down for him till he became a player we could rely on to man our midfield.

Players like Francesco Totti didn't even get half of the pampering, love and patience Ramsey got at the Emirates yet he played all his life at Roma.

Well I understand football nowadays is all about money, money and more money. I guess he should enjoy his time on the bench pending when his contract runs out at Juve
Do you think we need him?

It's not only you really, there are thousands who think like this. But I believe there is something (whatever mystery) we (me included) are not seeing in Xhaka that Wenger, Emery and even Arteta is seeing. I noticed his game was different when playing for Switzerland. May be the best of Xhaka comes with playing alongside a midfield bosser like Partey as we saw last season, may be it's the way he is being used, may be we are all being deceived, he is an enigma.

When we were signing Partey we thought that would be his end but lo. Now we have Lokonga who I think is the best signing deal so far in PL, yet everyone is still skeptical about Xhaka not starting once he is back.

I don't know why you are complaining but so far we had a good transfer. Let's give the team time to blend well, one or two games.

...and hope Arteta doesn't brain fart.

I'm complaining because our signings haven't brought in much change going by the first 4 games we've played this season. In fact, it's looking like we sold key players and didn't replace them...

I'm not happy Arteta and whoever is taking decisions at the club are happy with the current state of the team and ready to give it more time when they are not bringing in enough talents needed in the team.

Anyways like u've suggested, let's hope the team blend with time and at least get back to Europe next season.

I understand, none of us are happy. We have just seen them play once actually- Vs Norwich. The result wasn't the expected, but it's a start. What I am excited about is the balance in the team and the fact that being young, it will be easier to improve them. We should be more concerned with the quality of the coaching. If they can't beat everything that comes their way till October, then the coach can be excused.

This has been our point improve the midfield and watch other departments blossom.
They spent 50m on Keane yet he made mistakes in the first 2 games that doesn't stop them from winning.
I hope you now understand our point that if we have vvd and koulibally with this present midfield we will still chop goals belleful

I've never objected to strengthening midfield na....shebi we bought Partey the same season we bought Gabriel that you people said was unnecessary signing.

On the contrary, u are the ones who believe signing only midfielders will solve our problem. I supported both Gabriel and Partey's signing.

Some people na just cry babies. Over two seasons we have signed both midfielders and defenders. The only area we have not signed is attack, and that's because we've got Aubameyang and Lacazette, coupled with Saka, Martinelli, Nketiah and Balogun and that's after signing Pepe. Yet they still cry. If you ask them who to sign now they will say Bissouma, that hasn't left Brighton.

Yes signing midfielders would have solved the problem at least there will be champion league football by now

But we signed one defender and one midfielder na...Abi? Yet no champions league football.

Except what u are saying is that we should have signed Partey and another midefielder alone and that we would be playing champions league football now. I honestly doubt this; I doubt having Papasthopopulous, Mustafi, Luiz and Holding as our only CB options would've secured us champions league football simply because we got two midfielders.

This is me being real here and not trolling or dragging a dead issue.

Let's be sincere we need 2-3 midfielders we all know these ones we are parading are backup except partey

Wait, Are we talking about this present year or last year?

We've been over this over and over again. We bought both defender and midfielder last season, so the argument that midfield was made to suffer while defence was catered for is incorrect.

As regards needing two midfielders, if Xhaka is not leaving the club will most likely not sign another midfielder that will sit on the bench for Xhaka now.

See no matter how u try to spin this whole Midfield vs Defence issue, the fact is both areas have been catered for by the club; the only argument u can make is to challenge the quality of signings made in each department.

This is just naive!

It’s like saying when guys were clamoring for a CF to replace Giroud and Wenger mischievously brought in Sanogo, that can also count as catering for CF.

Blueraydick When we said spend on the midfield to revamp it, we meant the midfield as a department. All these ones that he signed Partey, it is not revamping, addition? Yes, revamping? No! You can claim our defenders were useless but I put it to you our midfielders were more useless

You are not getting it, or rather u are just delibartely trying to force a point where there's none.

You claimed midfield was neglected to the detriment of defence; this is false. We signed both Partey and Gabriel the same Transfer window.

I've never said our midfielders were good enough to challenge for anything or play in Europe, hence why I supported the signing of Partey.

You are the ones who have always claimed Gabriel's signing was unnecessary( even though there were posts u made in the past that showed all was not well with our defence)

What I'm questioning with my post u quoted up there is this : "Why do u think a terrible defence like ours will challenge for European football because we bought several midfielders? "

No one is spinning anything
This year, last year and coming years
Apart from partey the rest in midfield are back up
Why spend so much on defense and still chop 9 goals to just 1 goal scored
