Stankovic22:You did the right thing bro and I will advice you not to get use to the front seat because it's just a matter of time before things (attitude) will change. |

For me it was wrong. As long as the wife met you in the front seat, you should stay until you alight except the husband or wife pleaded with you to move to the back seat. For me, when am driving whoever sits in the front first as long as you are an adult is ok |

Reptyle:The bold is madness! U mean a girl will ask her mother already seated at the front seat to go to the back? I don't believe any normal human will try that. Your friend is weak, reason his wife had the guts to ask his mother to vacate front seat when she was already seated! |

You did well bro. It's courtesy.if you hadn't don't that, you might have created a bad impression. Honestly,if I were the wife and you refused to vacate the front seat,i wouldn't say anything but I'd find my way home myself. |

The woman too do sef. What's her own? She should just say thank you and move on. All these wife material 100 yards talk isn't necessary. |

gasparpisciotta:Exactly ! and how it should be ...courtesy. A personal story, my brother whom I had not seen in 7 years came by to see the kids. As we went to pick him up, my wife vacated the front seat for him. I asked why, she said because you havent seen him in a long time. You can talk and look at him while we drive. My brother gets to the vehicle and opens the back seat but I waved him to seat upfront. He was shocked and explained that wife vacated the seat for him. He thanked her and we spoke. On the return, he sat at the back. The vehicle is hers as much as mine. Unless vacated or offered all 3rd wheelers should sit at the back. |

Stankovic22:you did the right thing bro, but i think the wife respects you more and feels you deserve to seat with your friend and your brother. |

I feel its the right thing to do but it just occurred to me that my best friend wife do vacate front seat for me to sear with my guy anytime we are to go out. Although I tried caution her but she said that I and my friend has been best of friends since childhood and she won't want to come between us |

Rubbiish:Hmmm! There are a lot of things that do not make sense to me about this "woke generation." This front seat drama takes the cake. If I had not witnessed it happen between my friend and his wife, I would have thought such was only found in Nollywood. |

| Re: I Left Front Seat For My Friend's Wife But She Cautioned Me by rickleye: 2:50pm On Sep 14, 2021 |
Rubbiish:To be honest - Everyone is at fault. There was obviously some deep seated hatred between the wife and mother-inlaw which peaked during this incident which the husband would have known about. My mother-in-law always seat in the back, unless I am specifically driving her somewhere without her daughter. But if for some reason, she seats in the front, it is rude to demand that she move. That is something you discuss with her husband in private. Why I rebuke the hubby is that you leave your parents behind and cleave to your wife and you are both one. Your loyalty is to your wife - your family. The parents of the husband are liken to the wife's parents - would she ask .....no demand that her own mother change seats. ? |

OP why are you overreacting? You did the right thing. If I was her husband I wouldn’t be comfortable if she sat at the rear |
| Re: I Left Front Seat For My Friend's Wife But She Cautioned Me by emmyN(m): 3:06pm On Sep 14, 2021 |
Stankovic22:Your actions smacks much of eye service caused by filling your head with junks from social media. It was right for your friend to be livid about your decision to move to the back. Since you all were already in transit, there was absolutely no need to change seats. Whatever works for you though. |

| Re: I Left Front Seat For My Friend's Wife But She Cautioned Me by AssoJnr: 3:27pm On Sep 14, 2021 |
Stankovic22:I once had serious issues with my wife because I let my friend seat in front instead of her. She called it disrespect to her while personally I saw nothing wrong if she seats at the back with her children instead of a stranger seating with them. |
