Among the present crop of 'available' and practicing politicians, the only person I strongly believe has the ability and capacity and balls of steel to tackle the mess Buhari will leave behind is Mr. Peter Obi. No more, no less.

But even I would be honest enough to agree that current political complications make it almost impossible for him to be fielded as presidential candidate by any major party, let alone win the elections. His fellow politicians and other associated vultures that benefit from Nigeria's corrupt system know that Peter Obi would not favour them, so they would never allow him get there.

However, I think Osibanjo is a distant second. As bad as he is. As complicit as he is in this horrible government. As unprincipled and hypocritical as he is, I have no choice but to accept him as the only manageable candidate that would at least try to have any chance of correcting the ruination caused by Buhari.

Other than these two, I can't see anyone else among the current crop of active politicians who wouldn't worsen the already terrible situation that Buhari has created.
