A friend of mine completed a duplex last year and moved in with his family after the house warming and dedication. We all had fun while he relaxed and enjoyed his new palatial home. Anyway, his joy was short-lived as a church bought the adjacent piece of land and started three services every week and all night prayers twice a month. The sad thing about this issue is that their loud speaker is quite noisy and disturbed him, sometimes he had sleepless nights.

As a solution, he bought two giant speakers and played loud christian music when ever the church was in session and the church responded by significantly lowering the level of their sound system.

Please do we think that he did something wrong and may have offended God?

God is not a noise maker. Carry Go jare. Its offensive to disturb people that are not in the church. The sound should be for the church members alone, not public.

I don't think that was the solution. Your friend basically created more problem cause that singular act could be affecting others as well. Why not dialogue with them maybe they can reason along with you and if they don't report them to the right authority. If your location is Lagos, there's a department dedicated to that.
Regards offending God, God will handle himself.
