I prefer to talk about well established players not prospects from other clubs. Dem done deceive me tire.

I hear say Patino will be listed against Wimbledon AFC.
Lol... No be only you don tire for prospects sha, but I think we're getting it right with prospects and relatively unknown players compared to known players. Players like sokratis, Luiz, Willian, lacazette have disappointed us compared to their martinelli, Gabriel et al with Pepe the obvious exception.

Yeah, I read about patino too. After what he did to Jones and Henderson before scoring the goal we won against man u, he chances to first team just got boosted like nitro grin

See the thing is most of you don't pay attention to details.
Pepe is going to make a lot more of a difference than people realize. Go through his videos
- his playing style draws a lot of people away - in our case, it will be defenders away from Auba and Laca. With ceballous in our midfield we now have a midfielder with an eye for goals and the occasional long range effort which is a bonus and like I said with bellerin,a fit holding and Tierney our defense is an immovable object.
Na the go through his videos off me grin grin

Prove to me that he is a 'just there' player as you put it.
Can't dribble, isn't fast on the ball, he's not fast, can't give penetrative/defence splitting passes like a regista ought to give, can't transition ball. Easily dribbled, and if he's targeted then be sure of red card from him, can't cleanly tackle most times, reason why he's leaning to mop things up with interceptions or winning loose balls. Forget, you can't build midfield with Xhaka in a demanding league like EPL.

As for his performances with country, most of these european players are more passionate than country compared to club. Another thing I noticed is that Xhaka doesn't like arsenal like that. The earlier we sell him or he becomes squad player, the better so that make arsenal see road.

The emboldened is fact. And it should be the concern of fans rather than throwing stones at him. Could it be that the fault is from Arsenal?

Consider that a seasoned coach like Mourinho wanted him in the team and made deliberate effort too. He even claimed that Xhaka is the best player at Arsenal. While that will be going overboard, yet it is worth some consideration.

I put it that Xhaka's inability to perform in the red and white is due to our frailties and poor utilisation of his qualities. Qualities that every manager he has played under acknowledges. Xhaka was in the u17 set that played in Nigeria a couple of years ago and for him to be still active shows his skills are recognised.

Being a player that hardly gets injured, he gets selected more than the likes of Partey, but that I stead of being an advantage becomes an excuse to scapegoat him for our numerous failures. Shouldn't we be blaming the ones that don't get selected?

Towards late last season, we saw Xhaka pair Partey and their partnership was exciting and hopeful. I believe that with a decent partner and tactics, coupled with his leadership skills, Xhaka can be a player we can be proud of. Our voices should rather be that Partey stays fit.
While your angle of his poor utilization is a good consideration, but his inability to click under 3 different managers still leaves little to be desired. It might also means he is too static to a style of play. If he is good, he should also learn to adjust to other styles of play. Lokonga has only played few matches and not a few wish he should start ahead of Xhaka.

Point is, Xhaka has been with us since 2016 I think, and always in the 1st squad of all the managers, so he has been given ample time and the opportunities many other players didn't get to prove himself... few sparks from him here and there are all we see, nothing more.

I think we should let him go to where the team would be build around his style of play, we prefer versatile players here no static.

Lol... I know Swishh and I've trolled him once in a while with Pepe grin. Hyping/recommending a player after we signed him is different from hyping/recommending him when he's unknown. Swissh only hyped him AFTER arsenal confirmed that he's our player.

Example of what I'm talking about is last season, when we needed an Am. Before arsenal went for Odegaard, I brought up Odegaard, puig and I think Olmo as people who could fill in our Am role. As arsenal signed him, then that's me actually recommending him.

Anybody can hype a potential star once signed. Example for you guys is Werner. I'm not sure before their signing any Chelsea fan actually recommended them, but immediately he was signed, the hype-wagon full everywhere grin. It's normal cheesy

Long and short is that tho Xhaka is a good player, he's not suited for a club like arsenal. Let's even forget his irrationality (obvious red cards), but his attributes doesn't gel in a team like arsenal. He and jorginho na same attribute, only difference is that he takes more outside the box shot than Jorg. Finish.

In a nutshell, He is just there, and for arsenal to move forward, we need more than "just there" players.

Players like Xhaka, Pepe (if he doesn't improve), lacazette are the kinda players that make arsenal who we are presently. Mediocre and mid table
Aktually, u should allow auba take lacazette spot. Auba has declined really bad nd has gotten lazy. Same cant be said for laca. Laca still seem sharp nd able to deliver. He just needs creative mfs nd wingers to feed him. To me, u guys still a gem in laca bt auba is gone.

Lol... I don't mind giving Pepe more time to be honest, but then even arsenal no get time again, not to talk of giving out. The way most of us dey look this Pepe, person go think say na last season we buy am. Boss this is 3rd season oo, and he's still inconsistent.

Like I said, my prayer is that he should improve in his decision making, and be fast about his decision making too. Also he should add goals to his games too(that's what I believe arsenal bought him for, to chip in goals). If he doesn't do such, we'll keep on finding ourselves lower and lower in the table embarassed

The way yiu make this lacazette looks like, someone will think he's prime firmino cheesy

Laca doesn't guarantee you goals if you minus Pk, he's not that expert at hold up plays, he is not good at positioning in 18yard box, and he's not good aerially. Add to the fact that he's inconsistent.
Another thing is that we don't have goalscoring wingers to feed off his interplay so we need better than him
Auba have declined, but at least with auba you'll expect goals one way or the other.

The only reason I would want laca to stay over Auba is if we have a potent striker, if not, Auba over Laca day in day out.

Baba, I really envy your prowess of engaging but you spoilt the show by wasting your precious time to engage on Apo (sack) Xhaka Dangote cement issue and increased the wastage of your time velocity with SPY a whole Spy360huh

For an unknown Guendozi to come from French league and being hyped over Xhaka by rival Fans speaks a lot about how useless Xhaka playing pattern is a plague to Arsenal playing styles...

When Arteta came in afresh and some fans start to Stan him he has improved bla bla, I decided to watch an improved Xhaka only to see version 1.5 of him no any difference except the hunger of playing for new coach to get playing time. Fast forward to last season these fans still didn’t allow us to rest he has improved get him a better player and see the Xhaka of Switzerland omo there’s still nothing to write home about his playing pattern...

At least we over hyped Auba being Henry successor, I have never come across any article where they hype him as new Coquelin not to talk of The bosses of Arsenal midfielders is enough evidence to proof Xhaka is a GOOD PLAYER very slow, slow thinker, static, can’t dribble, easily bypassed, always afraid to drop beautiful splitting forward pass, but good at long range shot/pass good at delegating his work to his partners by stretching stupid hand around like that of Sanwolu...

Arsenal fans wey dey Stan him with Big coaches are vying for him, last window Mourinho Stan him bla bla Roma go carry am, with ordinary €20 dey no fit secure his signing but secured Abraham with €34 who are we deceiving... Biko don’t tell me the position is different and remember Pep wey need Striker carry €100 go use am sign midfielder.

My verdict: Xhaka is a good player for Switzerland cheesy but not good enough for team like ARSENAL.

If barca have prepared 65-70m then good for him to go there. One thing is that, it's not everybody that'll be a sissy like torreira. Monreal and cazorla both played here and even though they loved Spain, they acted maturely throughout their stay here. So I'm banking on Olmo that he won't act like a sissy. And his precedents proves he won't. He played in Croatia and he's presently playing in Germany without any qualms of wanting to go home

While you made good points, but I think everyone and anyone have the right to engage whom deh want to engage with or not. Saying that bolded isn't right in my opinion. You can choose not to engage with spy due to your both footballing differences in understanding but that doesn't mean you should tell others not to do so too(directly or indirectly). hat trick?? .. I see u have a lot of hope 4 him bt coming to term with reality it is high time arsenal move on without auba. Is it from Twitter you got the tactical analysis from??
Yeah, Twitter. There's a Matthew guy that give pinpoint details of what Arteta's tryna do over 90mins. grin

He also derives what opponents play and how Arteta reacts to them.

One thing is sure from his analysis:- Arteta doesn't adjust his tactics when the opponents are at advantage tactically And goalwise until last 5mins. Very stale and annoying.

He sticks to his plan when its not working and comes to give talk at postmatch press. Smh.

This means one thing

Even if we buy haaland, if that's how its always going to be, COyg go visit Championship.

Please go ahead. I have time today.

I have read about Xhaka's leadership qualities off field...But for me that leadership should also reflect on the field, like he does for his country. At Arsenal, I rarely see it.

I will like to read your opinion.
I won't even blame Xhaka for mot doing this qt Arsenal. I think its now obvious why. Everyone answers to the Coach and not the captain. The Captain is ceremonial at Arsenal during 90mins. In training, we see the leadership, but on the field of play, its everyone to himself.

Some captains tell some players where to be at some point during a setpiece or counter attack. Under Arteta, the player would rather stick to the restricted area coachy sets for him.

I watched Xhaka do this with the national team. Infact, he gave pep talk for their pks while the coach looked on. Can Arteta allow that?

I may overblow it, but i know this is one of the major reasons why.

If Xhaka plays well for his country, it cancels out all the deficiencies you listed. If you attribute it to patriotism, it is unacceptable.

I do accept though that he isn't that classic midfielder, but we should look at other skills he possesses like good passing range, positional awareness, tactical flexibility etc.
