From experience, metcoppo has a higher propensity to fail. This is one sheet design I will never use again.

Finally, I took my first shot at local steel door. I made this for the stairwell of an ongoing project.

Installation tomorrow.

Pls note this door is not armoured but it’s very heavy. It’s not cheap either.

For the attached we budgeted 100m.

AC ‘s freon cannot travel far but Chiller can, all it’s require is water to chill into the system and transfer its to condenser coil’s to cool it’s way to the units and serve as the same as AC. I hope Nigerians one day will start using the resource prudently. I’m reading debate on water heater, does it make any economy sense to buy 10 to 15 water heater that you pay electric bill for life, instead of using solar water heater that could serve the same purpose without any electric bill for life, probably at the cost of less than 1million naira at current market rate with No electric bill for life. I laugh when I see people wasting their hard earned money when there is a technology that can take care of some need at cheaper cheaper rates

Basically I will be renting one part of the building, the 2 bedroom section... So i felt its not economically wise to use Gerald for a apartment to be rented

Depending on the neighborhood, a more appealing house could attract higher rent, tenants too like showing off where they live even when its not their house.

If it will stress you up installing stone coated roof, you really dont have to but if you can afford it, it would be better to help make the estate look uniform.

I never have any any issues with metcoppo in different locations for my buildings. I hope you guys are using the good thicker ones. I used 0.50mm never have any problem for over 7 years

Nice one, my only issue with the door is the Medussa head design on the door.... would have been better without it.... would give it a 6 over 10.

Without the Medussa head design..... ratings would have gone a bit higher....

I see it a lot on peoples gate & it makes the gate look really local..... like Ekuké dog irrespective of the materials used in the gate design.....

You can have a 100LItres solar water heater to serve a duplex. It will reduce the total load of the building. The major in building these day days are AC and water heater.

The length is 36m and width is 26m.
Area is 938sqm.

In my case it’s not about the size or effectiveness of solar heater (I actually own a renewable energy company), I need multiple source of energy. So, electric water heater plus solar water heater. Like for house power I use a hybrid inverter so I get power from solar panels or generator or NEPA.
