You obviously would want to have slightly more than the amount on your Amazon invoice on the card. It's not the free one, creation fee for the dollar card is $2.99 or so.

I don’t know if this thread is still active. I first heard about KDP in 2018 but didn’t take it serious, until I started following it in July and read up to page 166 then, and decided to take action based on the knowledge gained from the thread.


I published my first book on August 1. So after a month, this is my progress so far.



Estimated royalties was $157....keeping my fingers crossed.

For now I’m still testing the waters, so I’m into different niches, but my best performing books so far are self-help books

Guys, what's the best way to start? If you were to go back and begin, what sort of book should be your first? What niche? Does it even matter? Thanks.

I published my first book in Jan and not until June before sales started coming in. When I opened the kdp and Payoneer account I used my husband’s details and now he has changed his last name so can I effect the change of name on kdp and payoneer or delete that account, pull down my book and upload it on a new account or forget the book because I want to get serious and start publishing at least five books per month. I’m asking cos after making so much I don’t want to have ID issues later making it difficult to access my funds.

I don't think it's possible to pull down the book and republish it with another account since they already gave you ISBN number. Maybe you should contact payoneer.

Amazon KDP is banning accounts enmass. So many people in my KDP group are losing their accounts.

I found two niches to write on
Please is a niche that is having the following from it's best seller worth writing on

* Amazon seller rank: 50,780 and 43,684

* Number of books/competition: 1,800 and 2,000

Please do you think both books are worth writing on?

Though i came to the party late but no knowledge is late. You can still have a niche with low BSR with few competitors but could still be a shark infested waters for a newbie.

If thoes few competitors are authority figures with lots of reviews above 100 then I won't be going with such a niche.

Focus on getting more reviews and try running some ads and you will be on your way to making more $s. Start working on your second book as well

I will start with a niche that is profitable, won't exceed a BSR 50,000, low competion and with fewer reviews of not more than a 100, stick to that niche and make more books on that niche.

This criteria is only achievable through conducting a deligent research.
