January 15 1966 coup: Why we called it an Igbo coup — Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu and Emmanuel Ifeajuna (Igbos) killed 22 people including the Prime Minister of Nigeria ON the coup: On January 15, 1966, majority Igbo army officers struck and turned the weapons which we issued to them to defend the country, on the government and the leaders that issued the weapons to them. In the process, they killed the Prime minister of the country; Tafawa balewa (Fulani) they killed the premier of the West; (Yoruba) they killed the premier of the North. (Fulani) They also killed Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh (Itsekiri) the Federal Minister of Finance. They also killed some members of their own group. For example, Brigadier Maimalari was innocently killed. Because he is (Kanuri). Since then, Nigeria has never been the same and Nigeria has never attained anything near the dreams of the founding fathers and nationalists and fought for independence of the nation. Many people had the impression that the coup was tribal in nature in our view it was. Because Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, (Igbo) was abroad on medical trip. They handed the government over to General Aguiyi Ironsi (Igbo) Well, the Army took over and they continued to blunder. They continued to do what they were trained to do; that is to destroy; to kill and to loot. Then the quarrel between two Lieutenant Colonels – Ojukwu (Igbo) and Yakubu Gowon (Angas) – eventually led the country to a civil war. Ojukwu said he was senior to Gowon and that Gowon cannot be the head of state when he (Ojukwu) was a governor. Killing of Igbo soldiers Gowon said if you want to be head of state, come to Lagos so that soldiers could take order from you. The argument continued until it led to the killing of Igbos in the north and killing of Igbo soldiers all over the country, with one of them buried alive in Ibadan. The young man had insisted on not doing what they wanted and they threatened to kill him. He said he was prepared to die; after all it was only one bullet that could kill him. So they told him they were not going to waste a bullet on him and buried him alive after forcing him to dig his grave. He was a major in the Army. A lot of atrocities were committed then. What do you could be the reason for the coup? We wouldn’t say we knew the intention of the boys who took over government because Ademulegun and other Yoruba officers never admitted that it was an Igbo coup. It only happened that there were more Igbo officers involved in the coup because there were so many Igbo officers in the army at that time, bullshits! 2 Likes |

The coup started from Operation Wetie and declaration of state of emergency in Western region, that was the first time the word terrorist was used in Nigeria history... anyone talking about the coup in ethnic light is being mischievous.. I don't even blame the coup plotters only Aguiyi Ironsi deserves to be blamed no wonder he isn't celebrated or revered anywhere 2 Likes 1 Share |

Ademulegun and the Yoruba soldiers involved were used by the Igbo masterminds to mask their evil agenda.. after they succeeded, they handed over power to Ironsi (an igbo man) and set their agenda in full motion. It's the Niger Delta people I pity most with the way Igbos have been maltreating them which they still want to continue in Kanu's biafra. This is why we are educating omoluabis to wake up and stop doing follow follow up and down to ethnic groups like Igbos who are lesser than us population-wise. We far outnumber Igbos but they always want to take advantage of Yoruba calmness and accommodating nature to perpetrate evil. For goodness sake, Igbos and Fulanis have been allies since first republic. The civil war resulted from them trying to outsmart one another. I even heard Azikiwe and Fulanis at a time deliberated on who will colonize Yorubas in the West.. Don't know how true sha, but it was obvious from his (Azikiwe) attempt to become premier in Western region. 5 Likes |

The 1966 Coup was ochestrated and teleguided by this man below: Baron Victor Rothschild who so happened to be head of the Rothschild Banking dynasty, owner of Shell Petroluem, an MI6 Officer and top level advicer to the British Govt. The coup was meant to stop the COR region from secceding from the Old Eastern Region with their newly discovered oil wells. Rothschild was a top recruiter of double agents, spies and also into communist indoctrination of African students studying in the UK. The Igbo greed to control other people's resources at all cost made them to stage the coup for one single purpose only - dismantle the regional government structure and usher in a powerful centrist Igbo dictatorship to siphon the oil wealth of the Niger Delta. When the Igbos failed at securing power, Rothschild simply switched sides and backed the Fulani north. 1 Like

So what do you gain by spreading this Tissia. The efforts you dissipate in such malignant propaganda should be used to orientate your folks in your North West involved in banditry. Are you not tired of the wanton killings in your region? How many time have you discussed with your peers about finding solutions to it. Is it not time to change from your atitude? While us in Igboland focus on solving our IPOB wahala, you guys over there seems to be infatuated with “what's wrong with others”. How about you tackle your own “what’s wrong with us”. There are issues you should be concerned about and the 1966 coup is not one of them. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Blue3k: Victor Rothschild was named as the 5th man in the Cambridge double agent spy rings. He attended Cambridge as well and it is known that Cambridge was a recruiting ground for communist spies and aggitators since the Russian revolution. Oxford to a large extent was also known as a radicalizing ground into communist and leftist ideology. Ojukwu was a card carrying member of the British Communist Party (Oxford Branch) and he was heavily inspired by the likes of Che Guevera and Fidel Castro (hence the beard). He joined the Nigerian Army as a recruit solely to stage future violent mutiny and a coup. Zik was also a flaming leftist just as virtually all Igbos who were indoctrinated in the UK under the guise of an education. 5 Likes |

The notorious Jewish mobsters known as the Kray Twins visited Enugu severally before the Coup. Knowing how Rothschild recruited Jewish criminals in doing their biddings like the New York East Side Jews who followed Trotsky to stage the Russian Revolution and later became part of the notorious CHEKAS, this same model of using Jewish criminals was used to arrange all logistics and intelligence for the Igbo Marxist coup. The Kray Twins cover was that they were in Enugu to open a Casino resort. 2 Likes |

[s] BigSarah:[/s] Why do you Igbos like to lie like this. The IGBO Marxist Coup was staged for one purpose only: To prevent the creation of COR region out of the defunct Eastern Region out of greed towards controlling the newly discovered oil wells. To prevent COR being removed out of old Eastern region, Igbos staged a coup (backed by ZIk and teleguided by Victor Rothschild) to dismantle the regional assembly and usher in a powerful centrist Igbo dictatorship. Can you deny Decree 34 and the Igbotic nature of the Ironsi Military dictatorship? If anything, Decree 34 was a facsimile of Zik's radical MARXIST ambitions for Nigeria under a powerful centrist govt with Igbos solely in power. YOU WERE NO VICTIMS. Your linear thought process in thinking that this misadventure is akin to your petty trading is what pushed you into this foolish ploy. Ask yourself why only Ojukwu as Military Governor of Eastern Nigeria welcomed Decree 4 but every other Military governor opposed it? Why then did Ojukwu change his mind on Decree 4 in July of that same year after Ironsi was assassinated and deposed? Why did the Igbos without consultation decide to drag the already Igbo weary minorities into their Biafra? Can you also tell me what reasons western Cameroun adduced for wanting to leave Nigeria in 1959? Let me answer this for you: IT WAS BECAUSE THEY HAD GROWN TIRED OF IGBO MARGINALIZATION OF THE SO-CALLED MINORITIES IN THE OLD EASTERN REGION. You idiots should stop twisting history and stop stupidly trying to dismiss the Marxist Igbo coup of Jan 15 as a non-Igbo affair because it sure damn was. 5 Likes |
