(Marshall's Residence)

Mrs Marshall: (ponders) it's almost 1am, Oh God, Where is this man?

(Just then, Mr Marshall returns home drunk)

Mr Marshall: (sleepily) You're still up.

Mrs Marshall: Yes! And where were you?

Mr Marshall: I was out relaxing with Frank and some other friends.

Mrs Marshall: And by "relaxing" you mean smoking and drinking?

Mr Marshall: What's your problem woman? Why can't you comprehend what fun is all about?

Mrs Marshall: Look Will, All these has to stop! You have to quit smoking and drinking whether you like it or....

(She turns to look at him but sees him fast asleep)

Mrs Marshall: Will!

Mr Marshall: (snores)

(Just then, He wakes up and vomits)

Mrs Marshall: Ugh!

Mr Marshall: Sorry. Just clean that up. I'll be going to my room now...

(He staggers as he goes into his room)

Mrs Marshall: (soliloquizes) Oh God! What's all these? What on earth was I thinking when I married this man?!!!

(Next Day)
(Mrs Marshall and Braden return from the grocery store and finds Mr Marshall asleep on the couch)

Braden: Ugh, The living room reeks of alcohol.

Mrs Marshall: (sighs) I keep wondering when your father is going to quit his excessive smoking and drinking habits. I'm tired.

Braden: Should I wake him up?

Mrs Marshall: Just leave him. Go and store the fruits in the fridge.

Braden: Alright Mom.

Mrs Marshall: (shouts) Bella! Bella!

(Her shouts wakes Mr Marshall up from sleep)

Mr Marshall: (To Mrs Marshall) Veronica, What's the matter?

Mrs Marshall: Where is Bella?

Mr Marshall: (sleepily) Oh I sent her to go get me a pack of cigarette across the street.

Mrs Marshall: (enraged) What? You sent my daughter out to buy cigarettes?

Mr Marshall: I just said that.

Mrs Marshall: (enraged) What kind of father are you?!

(Just then, Bella enters the house)

Bella: Good evening Mom.

Mrs Marshall: (sternly) Where did you go?

Bella: Dad sent me to buy cigarettes for him (To Mr Marshall) Here....

(Bella attempts to hand them to Mr Marshall but Mrs Marshall snatches it from her)

Mr Marshall: What's your problem, Woman?

Mrs Marshall: You can't take this in this house! Enough is enough!

Mr Marshall: How dare you try to control me and tell me what to do?

Mrs Marshall: It's not about controlling you or anything like that. You keep on drinking and smoking, What're you teaching our kids?

Mr Marshall: I'm sure they're old enough to decide the path they want for themselves. (enraged) Now hand me the cigarette pack!

Braden: (quietly) Mom, Just give it to him.

Mrs Marshall: Fine. But he can't take this in here.

Mr Marshall: I'll smoke whenever I want, Wherever I want!

(Mr Marshall collects the cigarette pack from her then takes out one of them and light it then he starts smoking it and his wife is unable to do anything but stare at him in disgust)

(Winterhaven)
(At King Anderson's palace)

Princess Madeline: Katrina!

Maid 1: Yes my princess?

Princess Madeline: I'll be going out on a date with my boyfriend, I'll need you to clean up my room. And I want it sparkling clean by the time I get back.

Maid 1: No problem my princess.

Princess Madeline: Thank you.

(She leaves the room)

Maid 1: (about Princess Madeline) I don't blame you, It's just the fact that you were born with a silver spoon that's why you're ordering me about! Stupid idiot! (hisses)

(Outside)

Jax: Hey babe.

Princess Madeline: Hi Jax.

Jax: You ready for our date tonight?

Princess Madeline: Yeah i'm so excited. So where're we going?

Jax: You gon' find out soon babe.  

(King Anderson enters the room)

Jax: Good evenin' ma king....

King Anderson: (spuriously) Evening...

Princess Madeline: Dad, We'll be leaving for our date now.

King Anderson: Hold on. (To Jax) I want to speak to my daughter in private for a few minutes before your date. Just wait for her outside, She'll be with you soon.

Jax: (To Princess Madeline) Hurry up babe.

(He leaves the room)

King Anderson: Madeline, I'm not comfortable with the kind of boyfriend you have?

Princess Madeline: (rolls her eyes) Ugh, Again?

King Roland: Yes, Again! I mean, He lacks the qualities of a decent man, let alone, a king.

Princess Madeline: Jax isn't bad, it's because you don't like him that's why you only see bad qualities in him, Get to know him and see.

King Roland: (sighs) You know you're my only child, and I'll need you to marry a good man who can take over my kingdom and become king when I pass away.

Princess Madeline: I know Dad, Don't worry, Jax will change.

King Anderson: I just hope I can count on that....

Princess Madeline: (giggles) You can. Anyways, we'll be leaving now. Bye Dad!

King Anderson: Have fun.

(That night)
(The Marshall's residence)

Mrs Marshall: I keep wondering when your father will change. He just keep tarnishing our family's image, I still don't know what I was thinking when I decided to marry an irresponsible man like your father. (sighs) My happiness is that the both of you aren't anything like him.

Braden: We've all made bad choices.

Bella: Maybe we can give him a second chance?

Braden: (interrupts her) What second chance? When he's obviously not willing to change.

Mrs Marshall: You're right. I can't tolerate him any longer. Next morning, I'll discuss with him concerning a divorce.

Bella: (shocked) A divorce?

Mrs Marshall: Yes. And I know after we divorce, He'll throw me out of this house so i'll go to my older sister's house in Winterhaven.

Braden: I'll go with you Mom.

Mrs Marshall: How about you, Bella?

Bella: (looks at her sadly) Hmmm...

(Later)
(Bella goes to Braden's room)

Bella: Braden, I don't like the idea of Mom and Dad divorcing.

Braden: It's all his fault. If he was responsible, Mom wouldn't have thought about divorcing him.

Bella: But do you think we can convince him to change his ways?

Braden: He's already too addicted. It'll be overly difficult to do that.

Bella: You know, If he and Mom divorce, He'll be all alone.

Braden: Like I said, It's all his fault. Besides, Many of his friends have advised him to quit his bad habits but he refused and now, They've all abandoned him.

Bella: (sighs) I still care about him....

(Next Morning)

Mrs Marshall: Will, There's something I want us to talk about.

Mr Marshall: And what would that be?

Mrs Marshall: I'm tired of this marriage. I want a divorce.

Mr Marshall: (scornfully) So you're tired of me?

Mrs Marshall: Yes. (She says this without looking at his face)

Mr Marshall: Wow.

Mrs Marshall: Look, You keep promising to change but you've refused. You're already addicted to smoking and drinking even when you know its bad for your health. 

Mr Marshall: Is that really the reason?

Mrs Marshall: Yes. What other reason would I have?

Mr Marshall: (looks at her with narrowed eyes) Who's the man you've been cheating on me with?

Mrs Marshall: (confused) Excuse me?

Mr Marshall: (furiously) I SAID WHO'S THE MAN YOU'VE BEEN CHEATING ON ME WITH?!!!

Mrs Marshall: No one.

Mr Marshall: Bloody liar! You've been having an affair with some other man and you want us to divorce so you can go to meet him isn't it? 

Mrs Marshall: You see what I'm saying? Your habits are already affecting your thinking. You've gotten so shallow and unreasonable lately....

(Mr Marshall angrily hits Mrs Marshall)
