So I decided to wash my abandoned car today and offcourse check the fluid conditions, lo and behold, rats have made a 2 bedroom flat ensuite in the engine bay. Agama Lizard too curled up in one corner. okay I checked everywhere and saw that no wire had been tampered with, to forestall electrical issues in future, I decided to use the old folktale of rats afraid of where granules of bottles are placed.I took a drug bottle and hammered it to pieces and sprinkled it in engine bay where the rat had made it's mark. For the lizard a good smashing of broom in the evening on its head when i come calling would reset his brain from using my car for his personal abode if he survives the carnage.

Dismantle your cars engine after washing for the next couple of weeks. Continue this process until traces persist. |

nurey:Rats like other rodents, mark territories by urinating in the engine bay and their droplets. To get them off, you need to wash the engine, as often as possible. Other things you can do 1. Drive the car often 2. Always change your parking spots 3. Dont park near your kitchen or have food remnants in your car 4. Keep you parking spot clean 5. Keep a cat 6. Start eating them before they eat your harness.1 & 2 does the trick most of the time. If this does not work, you need to move to a new area. The war against rats na like fighting terrorism. If you want peace, you muuv I have tried out all this electronic antirodent you connect to the cars battery. It seems na oyinbo rats e dey pursue. |

Since you aren't making use of the car you can sell it instead parking it without use so rats won't damage it just a suggestion |

Broken bottle fragments didn't work saw rat in the same area yesterday jollying and full of spirit though lizard taken to correction. Next is to use sniper and rodenticide as a deterrent and see whether it would work |
