The north can ban it for all we care. Down south, it will be legalised and we'd make a fortune out if it in taxes and export. That's why we're clamouring for resources control. Marwa is on his own on this. He's only looking into the abuse side of it, (which can be regulated same way alcohol and cigar are), without considering its underlying medical benefits

In Nigeria, the people who do smoke do so because they want to, not because it's legal. The same also applies to every consumable. Legalising something does not make it okay.

Of course it is a good product and business for health care, it is unfortunate that Nigeria does not understand that and work on educating the populace against substance abuse. All my life I have never taken beer, drugs or smoke but to be sincere I don't see any benefits in our strict controls over weeds. All we need is regulations against abuse, if a country needs it for health care, produce it and sell it to them if you can't, just follow the money and rake in more income
I quite agree with you because the clampdown on weed in Nigeria by the government, is just a waste of time because it is available every 1-2 kilometers in Nigeria,they should think out of the box and legalize the damn thing and think out a feasible plan to tax the farmers or VAT the product
