How Do I Put A Website Online by KJtemi: 7:57pm On Sep 21, 2021
If I create a site with html and cad,how can I put it online?
Also how can I monetize it with Adsense or any other way
Re: How Do I Put A Website Online by nnamdiosu(m): 2:24am On Sep 22, 2021
You have to met a company called a hosting company.

You pay them and give them a name you want the website to be known for online.
This is known as the domain name.of.tout website.

They will also create a space on a computer that is connected to the internet. That space is called a web hosting space. It is where your website that you created will be stored.

After that, they will give you access details to an online server, where you will have to log on and upload those website.files you created. Once you are done, your website is thus online and anyone who types in that domain name, can view your website anywhere in the world.

Concerning AdSense, there are some requirements that Google needs your website for. But basically, your website must be nice and fine to view on a mobile phone.
Once you pass this major requirment and other requirement, you then apply to Google for adsense.

Google will have a staff to view your website. If it passes their requirements, they then give u a piece of code to put on your website pages. Once you do this, adverts from Google will start showing on your website pages.

I tried to simplify the answer here.
There are few things I left, cause they will confuse you. However with this knowledge up, I'm sure you have more knowledge on the subject matters.

Feel free to ask more questions.

Cheers

Thanks
about that web hosting space, would it be created on my computer or theirs and if mine do I need to have internet service at all time to to keep the web hosting space running?

Also what we hosting company should I check out and the price?..any good deals? And is it a one time payment?

And also how do I connect the website to the server ,would I add something to the script of the website I programmed ?
I’m a beginner in this programming thing so I’m learning

Also if you’re into programming
For example I created a site where you can leave a comment, how do you do it that the comment left is added to the website?,does it have to Do with the server of a thing? Because after creating a site with a comment space whatever you input doesn’t make changes to the site ,except you edit the script you wrote according to what I’ve done …Yk just like our comments are added to nairaland

I want to know how this posting system ,posting comments or creating new posts..kinda like creating new threads for nairaland You know works without me editing the script and is there any tutorial you can link me to?

Sorry if I’m asking a lot of questions

I’m a registration system like you creating an account on nairaland, how does the persons data get stored and the person would be able to login and access features like posting and the likes ,like it’s done on nairaland

For example on html for each page you write a program for and libel everything together imaging I wrote a program for those who are members how do I make the page where they would be allowed to do more accessible to them?,how would the system recognize them, how would there data be stored and they’ll be giving access anytime they log in

Sorry once again but I’ve been searching for answers but I couldn’t find them online all o see is creating websites and giving them a domain name

Don't be sorry for asking questions.
My people say he who asks a lot of questions never missed his way...(except you are in Nigeria Sha smiley )

Ok. Let me see.....

1. It will be their computer. That's why you pay them the money. That money is like renting a house for a year. The house in this case is the amount of disk space you and them agreed you are to pay for.

2. So for the price...it's actually an irony issue.
Some hosting companies are in Nigeria..some are abroad. The ones in Nigeria will def have some issues. That's why they are cheap to an extent. Also, they can be easily called if there is an issue.

The ones abroad, are a bit bit expensive. (They actually aren't but because you will be paying in dollars, it now is). It's a monthly, or quarterly or yearly payment (FOR HOSTING ALONE).
domain is charged at least one year..
Explain what you.mean in this case as a good deal. Cheap?

3. To connect your website to the server, all you have to do is upload your folder where you saved all your website files, one by one, (or zip it and upload the whole folder).
You upload it into a place you.logged into online, called your cpanel.once your website files enter a folder on that cpanel, it immeduat because accessible online.

4. Anything on your website that you want to remain constant for people to always be seeing it, e.g a comment like you said, it should be stored into a database. A database is like a kitchen cabinet where you stores stuffs and can easily retrieve it when you need it.
So this answer I'm typing for you...the moment I click the submit button, it will enter nairalands database and be stored in a way it can be retrieved when you want to.view this my comment.

5. The way these posting, comments, registration works, are done in a way called backend programming.
That's what web programmers do.

To inderstand more means you have to start learning a programming language after learning html, css and JavaScript. we have lots of programming language. The one used for nairaland is called php.

So you can fit YouTube and type, php video for beginners.

6. So like I said before, the registration and logging in happen thought the backend programming language. It's too vast to even explain here. But use YouTube like I told you.

I tried to answer the questions in the best way I could. If I missed any, kindly point it out.

I see you have great curiosity for web development. That's a very good thing. Infact that's the most important atitude to learn this stuff.

Feel free to ask any other question you may have. Cheers

Yes I do have curiosity for website development

I’m trying to create a blog as a personal project and use the funding from it to support my programming interest, from that I want to move to app development but I’ll need funds to publish my apps amongst other things

Thanks for helping me,most people on here just write me off because I’m a beginner at this and don’t bother helping or say things like if I don’t understand this I shouldn’t be here asking about this and stuffs like that

Now to my question’s
About their servers host ..yes I meant a cheap and reliable as for like a blog do you think hosts in Nigeria are good enough or I should just go for those outside

How do i store comments / posts in a database so others would see?

Really,I used to nairaland was built with html and css especially since it’s very restrictive

Thanks I’ll check out backend programming

You are welcome.

For host, you can try whogohost. They were good previously but now, the Nigerian factor of mediocre service is beginning to affect them.but since it's just a blog, you can manage them.

Also, the plan to use proceeds from a blog to sponsor your training on web development might not be a good idea.
It takes a long time to begin generating revenue, so don't put all your holes on it.

Learning the backend programming I told you about will teach you how to store comments.

Regards bro.
