BKayy:Still you are missing the point, I never said the igbos were not related the were related, clans who started of as brothers migrated to different places and settle which it's obvious from the names, but there was no time the igbos came together to say yes this is us igbos as a nation or country like you are insisting on, the colonists finding it hard to control the igbos like the did the yoruba's and Hausa's igala, bini's found a way to unite the igbos they couldn't do it as a unified Mornachy but created chiefdoms and through these chiefs United the igbos holding meetings with them occasionally that's how it happened, such thing was never there, there were different nation and kingdom in what the colonists unified as one, which I gave you example of Onitsha, arochukwu Confederacy I'm an igbo subgroup of the waawa people in Enugu, read what happened between a man called onyeama which the colonists made him a warrant chief, in one of those meetings he confronted the obi of Onitsha who was regarded as a powerful igbo king in those days and became angry that the obi of Onitsha was sitting on the highest seat of honor in a meeting held in his own domain in Enugu , that's how hard the colonists worked to unite the igbos |

IDENNAA:So what point are you making here exactly? I'm saying same thing, there was no such thing as a unified igbo country, igbo clans who were stronger received tributes from smaller clans, there was no time igbos were one nation till the colonists arrived |

jimyjames:Mtcheww. I can see you didn't my first post. The one that brought this conversation. You expect me to sit and discuss warrant chief stupidity with you? Which part of "their establishment signifies the day Ndigbo lost their independence" did you not understand? Go and learn how Igbo Political organisation was before the establishment of that Abomination As for that Enugu warrant chief, he has no domain. That place belongs to the people not him. All of them lack the cultural backing for the stupidity they did with British help. I am done with you |

BKayy:Well if you talk about the day igbos lost their independence then equal it with the day Africa and the thousands of ethnic groups and tribes lost their independence to colonial rule cause they changed everything, And I still repeat without the intervention of the colonists, what we know as a United igbo nation won't be today, many igbo clans could have turned into different nation and countries by now, the way arochukwu Confederacy was growing I believe they could have conquered most smaller clans and ethnic groups all the way to South East Cameroon and made it into one nation The bini's could have conquered the entire niger Delta and made it one nation The sokoto caliphate would have conquered the North as some part of yoruba land And the Oyo empire could have conquered Southwest and parts of Benin Republic Igbo nation won't have existed |

andy244:You are brainwashed. Your parents would have died of kwashiokor or killed by Nigeria troops if not for Zik's wise intervention. Ojukwu, the pompous son of a rich man never cared for anyone. Zik is the most respected Nigerian living or dead
