It has been like that since ages.

Google, xe.com and all remittance companies all use the cbn official exchange rate for business, how come aboki fx is using the unofficial exchange rate as a point of reference

That is why it is called pta and bta. Dollar is supposed to be gotten for legitimate purposes.

Btw, Is the street sellers not buying at 413 from the banks and selling for 563 on the street.

Who are we deceiving in this country.

Even in your mind you know you are not truthful. I wanted to pay for an online school that exceed $100, which CBN allow to be spent per month. I went to banks I was told I have to use dollar account, I asked if they will give me at official rate. I was tols I should source for my own dollar and deposit in the account. Please let us be truthful, even manufacturers and importers need to get their own dollar. Major reason, prices of goods are astronomical. When will support a government, let us think about the future.

A thread of paid fools.

One said dollar sourced from bank is only for legitimate purpose.

So any other business one does with dollar is illegitimate apart from traveling. But the CBN influenced round tripping by key players is not illegitimate.

Using Google rate to claim dollar appreciation. I pity some of your generations.

Go to the bank nearest to you and tell them you need to pay for online course above $100, come back and get busy with your keyboard.

I will only commend this government if Naira is #1/$1 not what it is currently, the government can do better than this.

You can not just walk up to the bank and tell them that they should change money for you.

Come with your neccesary legitimate document and take the proper form, they will sell for you and sometimes even help you to pay your school fees

Dollar sourced from banks are for legitimate purposes because you have to show documents to get it, what ever you use the dollar for after getting it, oyo for you.

The cbn got stricter on bdcs because some bdcs claim they are businesses but use their dollar allocation for personal use and speculation purposes thereby sabotaging cbn fx policies.

As for the Google rate, the rate showed there is the official cbn rate.

With all admission letters, you think I am daft and just walk to the bank like that. Form M that you fill too, many of them tell you there is more than enough queues and if you.
Thanks anyway.

Then go to BDC or any aboki to see if you can buy at that price..
Of course you must provide documents; or you want to be spending Dollar in Nigeria? You've no business holding Dollars for nothing.

I am always happy when naira appreciates against the dollar and its stable.

How can you be buying and selling dollar and every minutes the rates keeps increasing, even if you are saving in dollars, you got to buy dollars, how will you feel anytime you carry your naira to buy dollar, the exchange rate has risen to almost 30%, that means, everytime you want dollar, you have to get more naira to buy dollars, that is just bad business.

As for as we are concerned, The official dollar to naira exchange rate as far as Nigeria is concerned is 413

BDCs and the banned Binance site especially on p2p should stop fixing price.

Infact it is cheaper to buy dollars for legit purposes at the commercial banks than with the street BDCs.

As far binance p2p, that one is pure fraud and greed
if not for the cbn ban or the refusal to fund dorm accounts this won't be an issue
So if what I want is not on cbn list I can't get dollars isn't that a cruel joke?
