You are right in a normal setting but Nigeria case is much more different. Apart from poverty, our greed zeal to become rich is out of this world.

Crime has a lot of causes. Poverty too is among one of those causes. A person who is educated with a well paying job is less likely to find crime attractive.

You have a point there. Nigerians need to be convinced that, no matter your station, if you commit a crime, you'll face the full wrath of the law. This will also serve as a deterrent to others.
