The rest are too tiny for Kenyan technical institutes.

Look at this confused kid!

I just asked you a simple question, post your second biggest campus, let's see if it can stand our number 6.

You're just posting random pics and talking more as if somebody is chasing You with a machete.

Zombie, relax and post your second biggest campus. You post four pics, I pick one campus and do exactly the same as we move.

Sorry Mr liar, it can be 10th or 20th best uni in your country but the truth is it can't stand any of our unis here.

Moreso you've repeated same Uni pics like 10 times already..

We are yet to see any Kenyan uni that can match LEGON, KNUST, UCC, UPSA, UDS ETC boot for boot in infrastructure

Are you high or you're just disturbing! undecided

I gave you the video to watch so that you can gain confidence to post your second biggest university and the only thing you can come back with is reposting what I've already posted? That campus in not in top 5 In kenya and the video I gave you Is more than what it's in the picture.

You're talking a lot. Stop wasting my time and post your second biggest university. If you don't have say and let's move on to something else.

You so badly want to be on Ghana's level but since the existence of your country Kenya, it hasn't come up to Ghana level yet.

I get the impression that you Kenyans are wasting your time with Ghana. At the very least, there was something to compare Naija to. Actually, you should look south because there is one saffa who is obsessed with Kenyan issues.

By late 1970s Kenya's was really ahead of anything in Africa outside South Africa - Poor Ghana is aiming for Nairobi of the 80s.

Kenya had grown by average of 7 percent since independent till then; Nairobi was one most developed city in black world; Kenya had positive trade balance; and was one of Africa most progressive nation.

I rmbr the made 70s well enough. Traffic jams were unheard of. The Nairobi City Council ACTUALLY functioned collecting garbage twice weekly all over, Buru Buru had just been completed, graduates got a generous allowance before guaranteed employment, the dollar was 7 shs for a decade, etc, etc.

We killed Naij in the first 100 pages on ToT. Later we expanded into school level breakdowns of the economy complete with consumption data. Fyi, a good student can write a thesis solely with the sources we gave.
We got bored and our Tz poster said Gh pic simply DON'T add up to what's presented. We used our typically dogged Kenyan style research to discover, GASSPPP it's ACTUALLY similar socio culturally and economically to Naij and even worse in many ways.
Check out Trokosi system on ToT and report back.

So what went wrong? I think IMF SAP messed ups.

In 1980, Kenya became one of the first countries to sign a Structural Adjustment Loan
with the World Bank. Over the next two decades, reluctantly at first but with renewed commitment
from the mid-1980s on, Kenya replaced the import-substitution policies it had pursued since
independence with an open, liberalized trading regime. Tariffs were decreased, controls on
imports were loosened, and the government encouraged trade through a series of exportpromotion platforms.

Broadly speaking, Kenya’s trade liberalization experience was disappointing. Though the
country enjoyed a few targeted successes in industries such as horticulture and apparel exports,
overall Kenya’s trade liberalization policies had little impact and failed to deliver broad
macroeconomic success.

True. In '81 the WB insisted on a devaluation and the ksh fell to 11 almost overnight. Tbh some SAP reforms like free floating the currency later helped but the caps on social spending and abolition of subsidies contributed largely to poverty.
A cuz was doing doctoral field work in the growth of Mathare and Kibera and found 30% landed there between the early 80s when it was half its size and '89.
The rest arrived AFTER this era at a much slower rate.

Edit: rmbr our textile mills? Even small town Nanyuki had it's own long closed factory.

Truth be told, the textile and garments industry was the second largest employer after the public sector in the 1980s until early ‘90s.

Remaining firms have scaled down operations to below 30 per cent of capacity.
https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/bd/opinion-analysis/ideas-debate/textile-industry-faces-imminent-death-1962770

It's INTERESTING to imagine and the possibilities are endless but if they were still in operation as a nation our poverty index would be lower and GDP per capita even 50% higher. They had a HUGE impact on national wealth. Consider the cumulative value.
