I have been using my infinix Note 8 for some months now with good mobile data management, for the pass 3 days now, I just noticed my phone using above 1GB of data a day. I don't download, I only read and reply messages on Whatsapp, chat on Facebook messenger occasionally, use operamini or chrome browser to browse. That's all. I called MTN customer care to complain, I was told to off my background data use for Apps, I noticed all my apps background have been off.
Please, someone should direct me on what to do to stop this incident.

Check your data usage in settings and find out what apps are using more data.

Also get Netguard firewall from Google playstore and block all the apps you don't want to use your data.

I have downloaded it but they are requesting me to sign in.

its a common thing now. Just get used to it and hustle so you won't bother about these kind of things.
