The newly elected executive committee of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors just emerged from an emergency meeting where a vote was held by delegates to decide whether to end the strike, or continue.

The decision was made to call off the months long strike, due to moves made by the Government to address some concerns which led to the strike, as well as a different approach taken by the new NARD administration.

It was a long drawn out fight destined for failure without the backing of NMA.

NMA's cowardice shall surely turn out to harm the profession in the long run.
