Basically, the Abeg mobile app is a social payment platform that allows you to request money, send money, request for loans, etc.

Its came as a shock when "Abeg" was named the lead sponsor of the TV reality show. Investing an amount estimated to be above 700 million naira.

I took a screenshot of their download at the beginning of the show and at the end of the show. The download increased from 10, 000 to 500,000+ downloads.

Now to the Management and Marketing experts, was it a good business decision considering the huge amount of money involved.

What do you think??

Lalasticlala what do you think??

Payporte did that for two seasons on the reality show and I bet you, most active viewers as at that time have forgotten who they are and what they do....

I think they wanted awareness according to their CMO.
This may lead to conversion sooner or later

I don't think it's a good business decision for them to use nearly 2 millions dollars for promotions.

It does not worth it. I pity the investors of Abeg. Patricia is even worse. Check the reviews on the app, it's terrible. That shows there is something they are not doing well?

They should have asked payporte. The main thing is how do they have left to continue running adverts? Cos I'm sure most of the users will forget about em shortly.

Only hungry children use Nairaland. Ask the company straight on social media platforms. The truth is none of the company’s employees will respond to the message. Here hungry children will debate based on their limited knowledge and exposure. I don’t know what kind of educated response you’re expecting to receive from someone yet to write JAMB or another struggling to work as a security guard.

I did not read the news but I think the father is the cause of the problem. since the daughter got impregnanted by the Landlord, the father should either abort the pregnancy and move on but if not, the father should try and impregnate the landlord wife too or make Amala for the landlord to eat and die.

Well in Nigeria, Adroid users occupied the largest market of smart phone users and if the app could get just 500,000k downloads, don't you think its was a bad promotion decision??

Well I would want to assume that you are joking with this response of yours. You have idea, you have no idea the kind of people who visit the site on a daily basis because of the unanimous protection it gives.

Well that's your opinion anyway...

They know and understand better. Early this year, that Patricia guy said advertising on BB was a major breakthrough for them as they were processing thousands of transaction everyday. Abeg too is doing well.

The Patricia guy was making money buy carrying out every transaction.

Abeg basically is for sending and receiving money. It will only make gains when it becomes a thing that people use regularly.

Seriously, it's a disaster. They came to the table with things Nigerian bank apps can already do. No need for people to move money into abeg and then transfer to other people when they can just ask for account number and send the same fund as already customary.

Kuda Bank and Patricia are the only real gainers from BBN. Abeg was only a waste of fund.

People that should advertise on BBN should be flutterwave or monnify With that they could easily have overtaken paystack.

Abeg is not offering any real value other than giveaways which they won't be able to sustain.
