He has to just make peace and see how they can either delete that particular account or get someone to convince him but writing an undertaking is too risky

Is it that easy? Account that he has already removed himself. What evidence would he shared with Google that he owns the account?

You knew his type already but you want to stylishly punish him by not cancelling the account with google immediately you removed yourself from being one of the admin.
You seems to lack integrity which you will need to grow in the future , do you think that he doesn't know anything about google ad and campaigns? when someone gives you an employment with a particular task always remember that its not that this person can't do it but a smart person knows that to be effective and efficient you need to outsource some of your work. Please always give your best and whenever you want to resign or you have being sacked leave everything that belong to that company. it doesn't matter if this man is computer savvy or a novice trying to play ''smart'' sometime can put you in trouble.

Go and write undertaker and also close the campaign ads too. let the person coming to replace you start all over.

Exactly, your boss is an ignoramus. He has zero idea of how this works. If you are admin, you have to grant other people access to login. It seems like he doesn't trust you, and thinks you want to defraud him. He probably sees you as a threat.. Write the undertaken, and solve this matter, then look or another job. There is nothing more annoying than if your own boss doesn't trust you.

Your boss dey beef you. He does not want to pay you. Even a goat knows how to block card if card is the problem.

He's one of those difficult and violent men one prays not to meet everyday.

Do not sign his undertaking, because for all intents, the way he's behaved himself shows that he can do anything out of spite to deal with you.

Did you at any point tell him you don't want the job? This is how someone tried telling his boss he would like to leave him, and suddenly the man picked fault with him and accused him of theft and wanted him to sign an undertaking. All this was to spite the guy for daring to leave the job. The boss said he was a good guy, that why would he leave?

Tell him to open up his admin account and help him delete it. Why did you let him have this upper hand? You should know that old men who have interest in tech are usually crafty and wicked.

The OP is actually at fault. I manage over 50 Google ads accounts and I don't have to worry about such issue.

If i created an account for you, i simply transfer the ownership to you and it won't even appear as if i created it.

I remember when i created an account for bedmate furniture and the person handling their digital marketing is being pushed by his superior who has zero knowledge of Google ads, asking me to do what is likely going to put them at loss, and i declined. And when such requests becomes too many and unprofessional, i ended my contract with them without asking for a penny.

Even though i created the account, you won't see my email or any link to me in the account other than being the manager.

A Google ads account being used for a client belongs to the client and you don't have to share any admin rights with them.

The only platform where i share admin rights is Google analytics and that's not disastrous. I needed admin rights in analytics because of advanced configuration, but nothing like that on Google ads.

The OP should just find a way to make peace.

I am a Google ads specialist with over 7 years active practice and nothing can bring such issues to me.

Let me quickly chip in, I have been a victim of similar incident (Google and FB ads) with the former org I worked (ps: this bosses knows what they are doing, they are just being arrogant, difficult and a bully)

My solution: have a solemn conversation with him/her then arrange for one on one sitting with them to resolve the issue since you believe he would still have access to the ad account
1. He would need to authenticate his access with a link or whichever way google wants but he would be there to initiate the authentication (hence resolving the fear of clicking unknown links). After these, then he can change the card or payment system
2. If above doesn’t work for any reason, then you guys would need to come to an agreement that he should forfeit or block the card and get another ( you can pay for it if possible).

But to be honest, there is no way he wouldn’t have access to the ad account since it’s associated to email (either yours or his) that way retrieval is very very possible.

Then again, if he refuses any of the above, then instead of writing an undertaking, make a report instead with the police proffering any of the above solution to the problem and see how it pans out.

Ps: In my case, it was my card that was stuck, I mistakenly forgot to remove it before leaving (considering the circumstances surrounding my leaving). I had to make an appointment to visit the org and resolve the whole issue physically.

well, he blocked his card and got a new one. He also paid me my money but not completely. But im free from his werey. Thanks for your input, though it's coming late lol. No mind me.
