Who knows what injustice this guy could have suffered.

We have seen cases in Nigeria where legitimate and hardworking citizens have been tagged armed robbers, kidnappers, assassins, cultists by the corrupt Policemen simply to ensure he goes in for it.

Sometimes, they go as far as parading people who have never seen a live gun, let alone bullets as armed robbers and killers.

Who knows why this "business man" had to take his own life.

The system has failed everyone, including those o death sentences. They can't wait anymore.

According to a report I read earlier about this case, the police had been accused of withdrawing money from Obinna Echiannu's bank account while he was in custody. This prompted the trial Judge to order an investigation and prosecution of those found culpable.

Unfortunately, the trial Judge was satisfied that the police proved a case of armed robbery and murder against Obinna Echianu beyond reasonable doubt.

The judge had also directed that a Sienna car and revolver purportedly recovered from the convict be forfeited to the federal governent, while the handset of the slain Uber driver also found on him be returned to the late driver's family.

The two accused persons had pleaded not guilty to the crime. Nnorom was freed. Obinna wasnt.

Although this remains in the realm of conjecture, it is possible that Obinna may have been roped in by the Slain Uber driver's phone found in his possession, throwing up the possibility of the case of buying a stolen phone.

Consequently, Obinna could also be a victim of miscarriage of justcie.

It is possible he may have found prison life quite unpleasant beyond his endurance and with no hope or belief of ever getting out, he gave in to despair and committed suicide (the later part is doubtful though as most death row prioners will fight to the teeth to stay alive through court appeals).

The controller general of correction,minister of interior, chairman house committee on security and the presidency are hereby notified to act immediately so as to avert the impending doom...
As we speak,the FCT command controller has compiled list of staff who have paid to be transfered out of the custodian center and he is going to effect the transfer soon..

Another source close to the said controller FCT COMMAND also revealed that he has been bribed by a terrorist group who wants to cause a jailbreak and free their members in prison and that is why the FCT command controller is embarking on such mission so as to blame it on shortage of staff when the escape finally occurs.

He (Obinna Echianu) conspired with a student, Everly Nnorom, to snatch a car from Inalegwu Edwin.

After snatching the car from Edwin, Obinna brought out a gun and shot Edwin on the head. Killing him instantly.
