I have a Caucasian which I bought when the economy was much better. Now that prices of things are rising astronomically, including dogfood and other dog accessories, I am thinking if it is actually worth it keeping a dog at this hard time. Each time I go to buy dog stuff, the prices are higher than the last time. I can bear this for my family things, but for dog too? I Iove my dog no doubt, but each time I spend for him, I reason other things that the money can take care of if I didn't have the dog and I wonder if the dog is now a liability. Anyone else in this dilemma?

What's the use of the dog to your household?

If there's no tangible answer to my question, follow the advice of the poster above me.

I feel you. This might be the time to cash out too. Caucasians will fetch you good money.
But basically i keep a dog for security purposes. I feed the adult dog once a day.
You need to way your options and why you really need to keep the dog or sell.
If your dog is female find a male to mate her and the puppies can be a source of income. If it's a male offer him for stud services at a fee. I kept 5 dogs once all male. The major stress was cleaning their poo and bathing. Now I have 2 and its so much easier in all aspects

The dog is also a part of your family.
At least that's the implication in Western countries.

We gather dey bro, just device a cheaper way to feed your dog. Ease with the dog food, they are too expensive, you can good with rice, mixed with meat( chicken, beef) or fish(smoked or fresh), then add coconut oil or palm oil or Olive oil, then add vegetables. This combo is perfect for your dog. You don't need all the canned or bagged food.

Very sick suggestion. I know some people eat dogs but to come and say this on a pet section is nothing short of psychopathy.
