Your are making sense however for Nigeria your figures for a standard NA battalion are off
NA BATTALION
SIZE :750+ MEN with approximately 70 officers starting from LT to a top rank of LT. Col.
70 officers in a battalion huh
I don't think that's accurate

How do you arrive at 70 officers?
Battalion structure:
4 sections form a platoon which is commanded by 1LT;

4 platoons form a company which is commanded by a Cpt;

4 companies form a battalion which is commanded by a Lt Col.

4Lts + 4 Cpt + 1 Major(2nd in charge of the battalion) + 1 LT Col = 10 commissioned officers in a battalion.

Again, where do you get your 70?

Actually, having double checked, nothing off about my figures for NA battalion numbers.
500 - 600 pax. Nothing wrong with that as battalion is defined as 300 to 1500 pax .

It's actually 22 commissioned officers in a battalion.
4 Lts/2ndLt in 4 different companies = 16
Captains in 4 different companies = 4
A battalion 2ic (Major) = 1
A battalion CO = 1

Nigeria unveils record $39.8 bln budget for 2022, spending up 25%

ABUJA, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Nigeria's president unveiled a record 16.39 trillion naira ($39.8 billion) budget for 2022 on Thursday, with a projected 25% year-on-year rise in government spending as the economy struggles with the impact of the pandemic.

The plan for Africa's most populous country and top oil exporter assumes crude production of 1.88 million barrels a day and an oil price of $57 per barrel, Muhammadu Buhari said.

The deficit would rise to 6.26 trillion naira, or 3.39% of GDP, funded mostly by new borrowing and privatisations, he told a joint session of both houses of parliament.

"Some have expressed concern over our resort to borrowing to finance our fiscal gaps. They are right to be concerned. However, we believe that the debt level of the Federal Government is still within sustainable limits," he said.

"It is unlikely that our recovery from each of the two recessions would have grown as fast without the sustained government expenditure funded by debt," he added, referring to a 2016 recession and to the 2020 crisis brought on by COVID-19.

Buhari confirmed a previously published 2022 GDP growth forecast of 4.2% and an inflation projection of 13%.

"Our target over the medium term is to grow our Revenue-to-GDP ratio from about 8 percent currently to 15 percent by 2025," said Buhari.

"At that level of revenues, the Debt-Service-to-Revenue ratio will cease to be worrying. Put simply, we do not have a debt sustainability problem, but a revenue challenge which we are determined to tackle to ensure our debts remain sustainable."

Nigeria has passed a string of record budgets since Buhari took office in 2015, but the country has struggled to fund the spending plans due to low revenues. The pandemic has added to the revenue problems.

The economy is projected to grow by up to 3% this year after it expanded by 5% in the second quarter. It contracted in 2020 due to the pandemic, though it managed to exit recession in the fourth quarter, but growth is fragile

It was supposed to be just N128.94bn for 2022 capital expenditure by the armed forces... but I think they have increased it bigly.
Not sure of the new figure.

This is different from the extraordinary 2021 Supplementary capital budget for armed forces equipment buying programme of N859bn

At this point no one knows , however based on the supplementary budget and in light of factual documented evidence the : THE NAF has indicated they have signed an MOU for 12 M346 which most factual estimates say will be $1- $1.2B I t would be disappointing if the defence budget is anything less than $2.5-$3B.

Some (probably all) M346 already paid for out of supplementary 2021.
If there is significantly high Capex in 2022 it would be Russian choppers, US choppers, some JF17s and MRAPs.
Maybe startup funding for Navy Frigate or Corvette or LST
