The Public analyst while explaining Governor Yahaya Bello's approach, mentioned that Kogi is a very complex state sharing common border with about 11 states and despite that, the Governor adopted a bottom - up approach to tackling security challenges which has been proved to be effective.

This method involves empowering the Local Government Councils as the Chief Security officers of their respective LGAs and also empowering the local Chief's and vigilantes.

This strategy actually works as we have seen where the local vigilantes arrests kidnappers and robbers.

It is working in Kogi, LG chairmen are the Chief Security officers of their respective LGAs thereby are onground and knowledgeable in their localities.

This is a case of efficient community policing and vigilantee

Okene-Lokoja road is one of the most dangerous roads in the country security wise, this was where an Army General was killed and wife kidnapped is that not part of Kogi State, in this Kogi state we heard of cases where vigilante heads kidnapped people, killed them and sold their body parts to Alhaji. So Yahaya Bello approach is not working, stop spreading lies and misinformation.
