Brother, The US under Obama “pivoted to Asia” because in their recent military doctrine, the United States see China as an imminent threat to her global hegemony. It use to be Russia that was on record as her number 1 enemy but now Russia is number 2.

US has never let any peer power access her sphere of influence in the Americas. Remember how the US blockaded Cuba during the missile crises?

US is the one meddling in Asia. They have now signed a deal with Australia to bring nuclear arms closer to region, despite the fact they have existing nuclear deterrence in South Korea and Japan.

The ultimate plan is to surround China and Russia with enough nuclear warheads to achieve a successful first strike therefore making MAD irrelevant.

That’s why these two nations are leaving their region to establish bases in Africa and Middle East to counter US

The US never ever questioned China's claims to the South China Sea until the 1950s when the POC effectively became the power in China. The anti Chinese claims became even more ramped up from the late 80s when large deposits of hydrocarbons were discovered under the islands straddling the sea.

Has anyone on this forum bortherd to at least preview the very many treaties on the South China Sea from the 1870s? Some responders to your comment genuinely assume that the US activities there is out of love for China's neighbours...really? People still haven't seen through this diplomatic charade at this stage of international relations?

Imagine Chinese or Russian subs crawling around the US Gulf Coast or even the Caribbean. Imagine China carrying out naval exercises in the Mediterranean. Why would any African accept that the US and Philippines (their former colony) can carry out naval activities in the South China Sea without a Chinese reaction?

There is claim of some international sea demarcation treaty from the 1980s. And accusations of China building artificial islands around the Pratly...the US have bases in Guam and Midway. The US would build same artificial islands of it was the one with China's disadvantage. Why are Africans so conditioned to take the side of the West (particularly America) without at least having a critical understanding of the matter at hand?

No China won't obey any western intl law that was designed by the west to favour the west only. China is now a military power and it won't be pushed around by the west that's the main reason the west is having problem with China. U.S does whatever she feels its right for her without any one questioning her.

The Chamorro people of Guam have been crying for independence from America for years calling on UN to tell America to vacate their Island that America annexed forcefully in 1898 but America has done everything in her powers to suppress their effort. Guam is seen as U.S territory today but the indigenous Chamorros are not recognised as U.S citizens, they can't vote or be voted for they don't enjoy the rights of an American citizen. They are a people without nationality.

China and Russia are the only ones violating intl laws according to the west..Well, may be you people don't read or think. China knows what it is doing by militarizing the South China sea. It is a survival strategy they have to do. U.S bases around is like putting a loaded gun to China's head, those islands are their first line of defence in a military clash with America and its thugs. It's a strategy of sparing the homeland from attack as the battle would be concentrated on those artificial islands.

Those artificial islands are China's shields. China is a rising super power that won't be cowed by one western intl law designed to put other people in a state of subservience under the guise of obeying rules based order.

When the matter on ground is about your survival and security you have to break that western intl law and do the needful. And that's what U.S and its western thugs had been doing. So if China, Russia and others who have the power to do it do the same. Should we see them as devil? Stop thinking like a slave.

You aren't well informed about this. When was the last time a Chinese warship or submarine surfaced around the US Gulf Coast?

The South China Sea is claimed by China, Taiwan, Philippines and Vietnam. Non of them consider the sea and most especially it's islands as "international" waters. Even the US never countered Chinese claims until 1954! And that's only after the communist take over of China.
